Love Poundin' Sensation

Okay! So went to DC to see the fireworks with a friend, Josh. Then we headed over to 930 club for Oakey
Liquid Todd was up first just doing his thing, he was alright. Then around 12.30 or so Scott Henry came on and did an alright job too. Everyone was dancing and having a good time in general.
There was one song that I BELIEVE Scott Henry dropped. everyone went crazy, it was banging , I know I heard it before, I think the lyrics went like I I I I Iiiiiiii JUST WANNA BE YOURS...
Anyone know , please tell me....It's killing me! So then around 1.30 or 2am Oakey came on and everyone went nuts naturally. He was okay, i mean i still had a great time. I can only remember a few tracks right now, I'm wiped...
southern sun (g+d mix?)
tiesto- traffic
the new thrillseekers song

Didn't see any other TA's there besides myself and Chris B(Skaya)
Clyde, we missed ya
oNLY A few bad times like when I got burned by a cigarette, and I got grabbed by a really creepy guy who I proceeded to elbow in the chest*i missed his face* and scream at.
He ran away tho, creep...but I still had an awesome time

Chris can probably put out a semi decent tracklist *unlike myself* when he gets to it

Awesome night. Went with a friend. Since it's been awhile since I've been on this forum, it would be tight if the TA's from the area can meet up before a big event. I went with a friend that night, and she isn't really into trance, but she had an awesome time. I mean it's Oakey, of course everyone should have a good time. Anyways, those rare moments I do go clubbin', it just happens that I end up rollin' deep w/ people from school and whatnot, but as for the trance scene, I'm crucially the minority, so I miss out on a lot of the events (like Tiesto @ Nation, or those 2 times PVD was @ Glow). Next time someone big comes around, it would be cool to roll deep w/ some people and meet up before going heading out.

Mind is drawing a blank, anyone know of other tracks that Oakey or Scott Henry played that night?

I can ask Scott what tracks he dropped at the 9:30 club!

I was there. Usually I'm rockin UFOs - seeing as how I all but live in them - but that night I'd opted for a blue and white skirt. It was REALLY packed for most of the night, but that's okay. The vibe seemed pretty positive, as I was often run into, but everyone apologized every time

I enjoyed Liquid Todd, and the crowd ate up Scott Henry as always, but I really wasn't feeling Oakenfold at all. He trainwrecked left and right, blew out speakers, and seemed to be having massive troubles with the fader and whatnot. I find this to be terribly rediculous, because Oakenfold was using the exact same type of mixer that he always uses - I thought it was a little outrageous that he was that bad.

But whatever. I had fun. Next time we should all meet up so I can start placing faces with names!

I'm w/ Funshine on meetin' up sometime. When's the next big event? I want to make the most of my summer while I'm still in the area before school starts up again.

Where is Deep Dish spinnin???

Posted by Funshine on Jul-06-2004 18:41:

Deep Dish is going to be at Cbik at Nation this friday night

Posted by cryo on Jul-06-2004 19:02:

I CAN'T WAIT FOR DEEP DISH!!!!

Posted by markysharky on Jul-06-2004 19:18:

I've known about Deep Dish for awhile, but never really got their stuff. Besides being from the DC area, are they really that good?

Posted by Funshine on Jul-06-2004 20:13:

While I'm normally a huge fan of the hard beats, Deep Dish definitely never dissapoints me. The build-up is awesome, and it's guaranteed to be a really chill night all night long.

I'd say come out and experience

I'm pretty sure he didn't play that Junior Jack song. But I'm guessing if it's a remix, I wouldn't know. Hell, I didn't realize until later that he played Faithless - Weapons of mass destruction (er was that Liquid Todd)?

Posted by Paula on Jul-07-2004 14:11:

I'm pretty sure it was Scott Henry...
I know it wasn't liquid todd, but there's a SLIGHT chance it could have been oakenfold. i guess we'll just wait for funshine lauren (of buzzlife) to help us out here.

Posted by Funshine on Jul-07-2004 17:20:

I've written Liquid Todd and am waiting back for a tracklisting from him, and I'll ask Scott as soon as he gets into the office what it was exactly what he played. Yay! I'll be back w. more info later today or tomorrow!
