Haha, thanks. Guess I should learn to RTFM more often
Thank you for linking that thread neo i was just wondering about custom status and where to find info about it and didn't see an FAQ forum so i was just thinking about doing a search, but i won't have to now.

I saw him play at this gig I had back on halloween (with his uber new 80's haircut) and he was awesome. We kept screaming return of the king! return of the king!! like he was samson or some shit. But seriously, my experiences with oakie are hit and miss, he's either REALLY on or just bleh. Luckily for me, most of the times I've seen him, he's been "on".
I love to hear people say "what happened to Oakenfold, why doesn't he sound just like he did in 99?"
People that was 5 years ago. What DJ/producer/musician does not change his style some in 5 years time.
If he had not, people would be saying how lame he is to be still doing the same old stuff he did in 99.
I didnt like bunkka that much, but I've heard some of his recent live stuff and he still rocks that.
When I heard him live in Cleveland last November, I was really unimpressed. It just didn't seem like he was into it at all... D:Fuse spun before him - good enough that I bought one of his CDs (which is great, might I add... hooked me on the downtempo stuff).
I don't listen to Bunkka. I don't hate it... in fact it has a few tracks that I love (Requiem for a Dream is my favorite movie... anything with that soundtrack is teh roxx0r)...
Not counting Frequency (the PS2 game), Oakenfold is what caused me to be addicted to trance and electronica in general. For that he has my eternal respect.

I saw him a year ago in Amsterdam and he put on a real trance show,
I'm not sure how much he's changed since, but if it's for worse
then I must've been lucky to see it.
Nevertheless he's legendary, especially with his old essential mixes.
lol been ovr this where happened to oakenfold so many times......
He was in SF not too long ago, at 1015 (Spundae). From what I heard his mixes weren't too good, but track selection was decent.
Madonna - Hollywood (Oakenfold Remix) has any of you retards understood and listened to how FUCKING great!! that track is??? as for his style, the man is a freeking genious, the Swordfish soundtrack was brilliant al the way, simply excellent.. his remix of Layo & Bushwacka is really fantastic as well.. he made the soundtrack for the English Big Brother series, Element Four - Big Brother, and that is one of the most mindblowing thoroughly produced tracks ever made in trance history, so too those who want Oakenfold to make cheesie trance tracks he probably puke of himself, can just FUCK off, and let the man try new things instead of feeding your ears with the same regressive shit... and as a reminder, Oakenfold is NOT AvB, FC, Tiesto or anything, appreciate what the man has done cause he IS truly a genious
peace out!!!
