Personally those who are complimenting me, thanks, but honestly I rather they not. Reason for this being is that I don't have to proove myself or give reasons to those who don't believe I'm doing my job. If I wasn't doing my job, I don't believe I would be a mod.

well...let me just say that i like both UWM and JayD...they know that so if i'm sucking dicks...might as well shove two in there hehehehe

i suppose that some of the original mods here are listed in all the sections so even if they are...so what? at least they are still around and address things when they feel the need. i also see linx and blik up there as mods and i vaguely remember the last time any of them posted on the boards (maybe like jp said...they stick to the local forums??)

my point is that JayD is an active member and i always see him patroling the tracklist and unknown tracks forums. maybe mods like him and arturo don't come into some of the sections that they are mods for and maybe that is something swamper wants to consider, but they have been with the site and have historically done a good job at clean up.

perhaps the problem isn't the fact that mods don't clean up, maybe its that almost every thread could be closed for some reason or another. i'm sure its very frustrating for mods to deal with all the junk...i know i wouldn't want to do it...

i dont have any problem with you being a mod. Maby rob & mike should have put reasons for their opinions, but there was no need for 5 people to go and bash them for what they think.

i feel that if the name is up top on the room as an mod, they should activly mod that forum as often as possible, if they dont/cant someone else's name should be there.

yes but i think that they're opinions have nothing to do with Jay's mod abilities and are more just their opinion of him..

i think people look up top and see names that are not active in certin forums. If i see Neo's name as mod in COR and he only is active in UKTA he should NOT BE A COR MOD. If i see Arturo's name as mod in NYTA and he never goes there, he SHOULD NOT BE A MOD THERE. simple. If linx doesnt post/mod MD then she shouldn't be a mod there, even if he posts in AM forums. end of story

I dunno how this has turned into a mod-bashing thread. The point is that it's the amount of flaming that goes on in here that's the problem, not the mods. Maybe there's a case for more mods, but there wouldn't be if people would behave themselves

so lets say that swamper never posts in a certain section...should he not be able to go in and settle disputes if need be?? the mods that are assigned to multiple rooms like neo are historically very fair when looking at situations and judging what to do. so if you pm them about a situation, they can address it if need be.

even among mods...some are a little higher than others and those are the ones that are assigned to multiple rooms and not just ones that they visit constantly..

well...here's the thing. mods are designed to fix problems. these forums are huge and its impossible to read every single post or thread. i'm sure that the way you are supposed to interact with mods is if you see or have a problem with something...you talk to a mod about it. by alerting them to the problem they can go check it out and make a decision.

i can only assume that most people don't see that part of it. if you bring a problem to the attention of a mod via pm...i'm sure they would be more than happy to look into it.

other than that...they do patrol the board and have fun chatting...what's wrong with that?
