Posted by PacMan on Jun-22-2004 21:26:

hahahaha never did noticed the date

Posted by RenderedDream on Jun-22-2004 21:26:

bbbbbbbbaaaaahhhhhhaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhaaaaaaaaahhhhhah
bahahahahahahahaha
i wanted this really bad since i don't like italians and i would prefer unknown/weaker teams to go through, because it's new blood to the european scene and hopefully easier to beat by portugal

Posted by Plastick on Jun-22-2004 21:35:

hooray, italy is out.

Posted by chesco on Jun-22-2004 21:35:

I agree with everyone with the fact italy didn't deserve to go thru, but I was heartbroken for cassano. Such a great player and he tries hard as hell.

It will be interesting to see who becomes the next azzuri coach and what players disappear.

Btw I was particullarly disgusted with bulgarias antics; diving, time wasting etc etc. Why would they be happy with a 1-1 draw and to finish bottom of the group. Fuckin middle european gypsy ****s.

Posted by noikeee on Jun-22-2004 21:37:

lmao

did you see when they went to celebrate the late goal and were told by the bench the other game just ended 2-2?

i'm a bit sad cause i like italy but really all the 3 teams deserved to go through

and it was definitely not fixed.

nordic victory
bye bye italy

Posted by Tim81 on Jun-22-2004 21:47:

Nordic Victory --> Bye bye Italy!!

I doubt about the safe by Denmark's goalie with the equaliser, but Denmark and Sweden really deserved to go to the quarter final!
Italy scored in the injury time the 2-1 against Bulgaria and couldn't even win from the Scandinavian countries...

Posted by reveal on Jun-22-2004 21:48:

2-2, OMG, the absolutely best possible result

Posted by Johan (DJ Irish) on Jun-22-2004 21:53:

Mwahahahaha!

Posted by Try on Jun-22-2004 22:39:

2-2 = nordic victory

daaaaam i like this! "We from the nordic" go to the quater finals! And Italy doesn't! I like this even more then a 3-2 win against our friends from denmark!

Posted by nettwerk on Jun-22-2004 22:40:

So... we're the last latin country still on the tournament. Oh well.

Posted by TJM on Jun-22-2004 22:46:

Dont see why theres massive rejoice that Italy got knocked out, there a great football nation with some class players who just had a typically slow start.

It was going to be harsh for who ever went out 2nite because sweden and denmark have both been excellent so far as well.

As it is its even more sad for Italy, 1 win 2 draws and they go home while in another group Greece been nothing and had 1 good half all tournament but have squeezed through on 4 points!

bitter???

Hah I started laughing when one of those commentators said "Looks like the azzuri are going home"

Denmark looked really strong though, they were owning the swedes pretty hard, in the first half especially.

Looking forward to Germany Czeck. tommorow.

Love

Italy didn't deserve to win! ..they had to come out with rumours before the game between Denmark - Sweden. I feel sorry for them!
They are a good team, but they are so damn stupid. They're making a fool out of them selves!

Denmark - Sweden. Seems like we're brothers afterall. hehe
Love u Danish people! *Blod r tjockare n vatten* could feel that yesterday and the thought of it makes me shed a tear

*The powerness of the nordic people, born Vikings*

when you look at the national squads from england, spain & italy it's absolutely unbelievable that their competitions are so strong. the play such a poor game
how come?
and the countries with the weaker competitions go through eg portugal, greece, france, czech rep, denmark, sweden..
kinda funny

Posted by Rudy on Jun-23-2004 08:56:

WHAAHHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA! Italy soooooooooooo deserves to go home! Just take Totti's foul and his spitting, thats already one reason for Italy to go home! They always play their disgusting "catta nacco" (please someone tell me how to write this cause I don't know) C'mon, you rather see some attracktive foottie in the quarters than that a boring penalty victory for Italy who have been defending the whole game!
Moreover, this shit, these agreements between teams, happens in Italy all the time, so they're used to it!

Posted by XeQtOr on Jun-23-2004 09:03:

Great game last night... And even more great because the spaghettis fell out... HAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!

Yeah thats really weird, probably has nothing that in these competitions all the good teams consist 50% of foreigners! Dunno the reason behind this

Well tournament's are one-off so the weaker teams are fired up and play better. For example, look at the F.A. cup. Almost every year you get a 2nd division team going far and upseting a few premier league clubs when it would have made more sense for them to crash out in the first game. If you were to put this Euro batch in a 1 year long league I would expect the stronger teams to finish tops.

I think its a combination of nerves by the big boys, time to get settled in, and a "nothing to lose" attitude by the upshots. That's just my take anyways. Whatever, makes for dramatic football.

I would agree with you on this one, if those teams (italy england etc) would play some good and attractive football, and the smaller countries would then win on their nothing to lose mentality. but when have the spanish ever won a match?? when do you see italy or england play attractive football? they never do. it is this I don't understand

Posted by fastmp3 on Jun-23-2004 12:37:

england played VERY attractive football so far ...
