lol, u guys have seen CL what... twice in europe? he's here every f'ing week in L.A. ... most boring and unoriginal DJ ever...

TorontoTrance... just because he plays "unknown" trance tune's doesn't make him good... his mixing is horrendous and the only reason he has a fan base is because he is the only DJ in California that doesn't play house... grow up man.

i love this track to death! one of the greatest ever.

so what da fuck does Doran, and Sandra collins spin?....hardcore? ...shit then you should start spinnin and blow him away with your perfect mixing and you could have a fan base just like him cuz you'll be the second "DJ in California that doesn't play house..."

Christopher Lawrence is easily one of the best international DJs out there. Instead of collapsing into epic mediocrity, like many anthem trance DJs, and instead of falling into the bleak wasteland of progressive, like many progressive trance DJs, he has succeeded in retaining his own distinctive sound, a blend of progressive trance and hard trance. Unlike some popular trance DJs today, he knows how to build a set, and can beatmatch it seamlessly.

Anyone who dismissed Lawrence on the basis of "hard trance" really doesn't understand his progressive trance roots.

Did anyone check out his artist album that came out last month? ("All or Nothing")

I'm surprised to hear you say that. Christopher Lawrence has maintained his popularity in Los Angeles by NOT playing here every weekend.

I can't think of any other Los Angeles DJs, or many DJs in general who can sell out Spundae on their own.

I go to see Christopher every time he plays in LA and I can assure you that he has only played two shows here this year, once at Spundae in March and once at Red a few weeks ago.

Fair enough, you don't like his music, if we all liked the same thing, this board would be a pretty boring place.

But dont' criticize someone for the wrong reasons

That's a good one, he must suck cos you don't like his style what a fuckin waste of an opinion, CL has a great style, and is probably the best American DJ as he doesn't stick to the stereotypical crap other american dj's play like deep dish or gabriel & dresden & others. he's 10x the dj as sandra collins or acosta, and you don't see that.... hillarious `

Please, I could name American DJ's you have never heard of with better productions than Lawrence

Joshua Ryan's productions put him to shame.

Anything by Mars is better

A could go on...

That is what I thought too (Tuesday on Moonshine), but then I looked here http://www.cduniverse.com/productin...SIC&pid=6738149

Posted by torontotrance on Jun-25-2004 18:00:

the upcoming release is actually on lawrence's own label (the new one) and distributed via moonshine, I dunno exactly. Always nice to see nice stuff from Lawrence.

You're talking about Production

I was talking about DJing

For his DJ style, Lawrence is perhaps Americas best DJ even if they don't all see it that way, to be a great DJ you have to get the chance to play in Europe and in time perhaps he will more so, but you seem to not realise that a good producer does not make a good DJ and vice-versa, and I'm rating him for the latter
