I find it hard mixing in and out with Man With No Name tracks

bt - flaming june

i cut the fast bit out at the end every time, and anything really with out a beat intro i have more trouble with than not.

that's what happens when you play songs that were ripped out of dj sets that you downloaded from soulseek.

there is no gabriel & dresden mix of this tune!

Wow

That's a prime example of why people should BUY the music and support the artist. Would have eliminated bad ID.

anyways, all breakbeats

Breakbeats aren't hard to mix at all - just mix with the hihats and snares/claps and it all falls into place.

Infected Mushroom - Tasty Mushroom (Eat Static Remix)

it sounds really like another different song; doesn't resemble the original track but hey its a good remix still

I've always liked mixing into and out of JXL's stuff... they're unique and cool sounding! Anyways, two mixes that I found that work really well together is mixing out of Little Wonder - Eclipse (Leama & Moor Remix) into Junkie XL - Breezer works really well if you use the 1 minute intro from Breezer and slowly introduce it around the second break in Eclipse and then mixing Breezer into BT - Somnambulist (Junkie XL Remix) is an absolute hoot! Use that beatless intro of Somnambulist into the breakdown (where you'd use the snares of the intro). Then right as the last guitar riff in Breezer goes out, the bass of Somnambulist drops in! Somnambulist mixes fairly easily into Marco V - God Child as well...

strange world always sounds dodgy wether you whack it straight in or fade in, very hard to seemlessly mix. and as for legacy i dunno what it is, but the intro always fucks with my ears.. the intro sounds more like an outro, dunno if thats it or what

I agree totally with this.

I have both legacy and strange world and i find them almost impossible to mix into

For some reason i also dont like Sarah McLaughlan - Fallen (G&D Remix). Im not sure why.

Well i agree you both, Nu-NRg is a bitch to mix b/c you really have to wait to the very end to mix most Nu NRG tunes together, but with much practice and just knowing the pitch to use for all the tracks, it becomes very easy, almost second nature

adam beyer - ignition key (speedy j remix)

Posted by capricorn15 on Jun-27-2004 23:58:
