For me a song is good when it either:
a) Makes me nod my head to the beat
b) Makes me want "feel" the music (I become emotionally overwhelmed)
c) Just feels good and I'd want to listen to it a second time

or a third.

when i listen to a song and feel the music, and feel chills throughout me that match to the music, thats when i know its a killer track

layers! its all about the layers baby
dj sammy - no layers e.g a cheesy overused synth on a plain background
dj tiesto - many many layers and an original sound
thats how you tell a good track

When i get chills down my spine i know it's a good track...

good track = a thread in the music discussion

You can tell a good track from an average one because it grabs your attention- you want to listen to the track. A track that isn't good usually lets my mind wander a bit, but a good track makes me focus on the track and what it's doing.

when i feel the need to replay it 100000 times and then buy the record.

I totally agree with this. When a track is really good, it makes me get a strange sensation all over my body, like a rush of some kind. that's how i can tell

back when i started listening to trance it used to give me the kippenvel all the time. but i very rarely get that these days (last time was Sun Decade - Catching Sun (Mike Shiver Remix)) but other than that then like others have said its just a need to listen to the track again once its finished.

First it gets my attention, then i realize how great it is. May say daaaamn to myself, and then repeat it for about 10 hours.

I don't realize how good a track is untill 10 minutes later, when i just can't get it out of my head and have to play it like 5 times in a row.
