My friends and I found 2 umbrellas and we just put my stuff wraped around my bandana(always carry one). Still our cameras still have moist spots on our display screen.
300 dollar samsung phone ...dead
i thought about the plastic baggie thing but like many of you others said..i expected some rain, but not a fukking downpour!
throughout the night i kept checking my phone to see if it was ok and it didnt even seem like it was getting that wet...i thought i got away free, but then when i got back to my friends house in jersey it died..now i cant get anything to come up on the screen, i'm going to see if maybe i can get it fixed, it really bummed me out cuz i just got it a month ago, luckily i have another celly, so i switched my SIM card for now
I thought my $300 nikon coolpix 4300 was dead but luckily it came back to life. Plus my wallet was also sloppy wet
All the paper I had in my backpack disolved into pulp
luckily money didn't
my celly is dead. i didn't even think about the fact that it was supposed to rain till i was already almost at the park, and by then it was too late to turn back and get plastic bags from home. poor cell phone. i'm just glad i didn't try to bring a camera.

Ok not funny I know but I'm still laughing; In regards to cell phone couple months ago I went canoeing with a friend, tipped over; cell phones died... I suggested he put his in the microwave to dry it out and hours later when back at his place that's the first thing he did and I heard a pop ( I wasn't even next to him when he did and I really didn't think he'd be that stupid ) lcd exploded internally
So word to the people : don't put cellphones in the microwave!
Needed a new wallet and a new pair of pumas after friday. Expensive 4 hours!

my sister and i opted not to bring a cell phone or camera with us, didn't want anything to get destroyed!
after the party we left soaked, dirty (yep, the brown mud water), no ride back to the hotel, no way to get in touch with anyone, and a soaked $20 bill. felt bad giving it to the cab driver.
hopped in the shower with all clothes on (even sneakers) and things turned out pretty well...no casualties.

my v205 was fine, kinda freaked me out in the begining because when i opened it i had a blank screen but after shutting it down and turnint it on the screen was fine AND now i have a permanent orange light on the outside so if anything... it made my phone better
