Hey People,
Sorry about the noise levels, we were having difficulties with it that night! But it was good every other event right!
Like I said, BEAR with us, we are still working on it!
Hope to see you all there for ECLECTIC METHOD and DJ HYPER!
Peace
Styles

| Originally posted by Chinaman I know I posted already but I've been reading more of the reviews and I wanna add to what people are saying. I have to agree with nonicekittie. The sound was WAYYYYY too loud. It's great that the place has an Alpha Dynacord system but I think the quality was overshadowed by the quantity. I do like my music loud but not painfully loud. Also, it should be clear and crisp(i.e. no ringing in your ears even if you've been in front of the speaker all night)As for the Godskitchen name, I must admit, when I first heard the Docks had their support, I was surprised. Although I'm sure if you asked a lot of the patrons what "Godskitchen" is all about, I don't think many people (at the Docks) would know. It did create a buzz on TA when we all found out. The Docks is a fantastic place, don't get me wrong. I can see that is appeals to a wide variety of people and has a lot to offer. I however, am one of those types that likes to wear running shoes, a t-shirt over a longsleeve and baggy cargos to a club A lot of the people I saw down there were in their Sunday best (clubbing-wise, that is) and that doesn't appeal me as a partygoer? And Godskitchen events in the UK certainly aren't that pretentous? I can see that JustinStyles and Daniella are trying hard to get people like us out there to the Docks and I think it's very much appreciated here however as someone said earlier, you must get your events out earlier. It didn't help that Nu-NRG was @ Viva that weekend but your cover is reasonable too, emphasize that. I can't think anymore, it's the end of the day. But I hope this helps |

| Originally posted by djbruuen i was surprised about the docks myself when going to gielen a few weeks back and that was my first time there since 2001. Personally i disagree with your statement on attire. if you feel comfortable wearing clothes like that, thats fine, but personally i like ppl looking good...not trying to hard, but enough to be presentable...i don't go to these clubs to pick up (i go with my girlfriend anyways) its just a better atmosphere when ppl try to look good and value there appearence. do you want to see women dancing in cargo pants and a baggy shirt at a club??? i sure as hell don't. (at the same time though, i really hate those really skanky girls...just try to look nice) oh yeh, and the sound system can be turned down a bit...like mentioned, quality over quantity...i like music loud, but would really like to not be deaf at 30. other then that though, can't wait to go back...i could see the docks increasing to 5am etc. when things pick up more |
