Actually I answered someone else's question about an "Original Track" and said it was coming out on vinyls in a couple of months.
(On MPFS Recordings. 2 Releases to come before mine..new Alucard and some Terradia thingy with an Arksun remix)

At first when I listened, I thought something was off about the main melody which defines 'Another Way', but after a few more listens... this remix has become one of my favorite tunes Love the spin off the melody and the added percs and kick. I recently added to one of my favorite mixes. I love the variation off the original, mint work!

thx

Good mix, I like the beat, but I feel it becomes a bit repeatitive, but cool nontheless.

Posted by Mike_Foyle on Jul-15-2004 09:40:

i think the kick and percs are awsome, when the pad comes in, its definately too loud, and the delay on that plucky synth that comes in after the pad i think has a bit too much delay and it kinda fuses together when the notes change. the break comes way too warly imo. And the pad chords dont sound right to me, they need one more note bellow what you already have, and that low note should be the base note of each chord, to give it some bass and define the chords. I think that note may already be there but its so quiet i can hardly define the chords, so the first bit of the break is confusing. i love how its been rearanged and influenced, nice synths, only real complaint is the pad is too loud for me, and at the beggining of the break, i dont think its full enough. very nice over all tho, i dont think the kick is too weak, but i think as more starts to happen in the track, it gets a bit over powered, so perhaps just lower the pad and perhaps up the kick a tiny bit if you can. Bass is alrite, but perhaps not qutie loud enough, its also a bit clicky, this could prolly be changed by putting the attack up VERY slightly. i think it will sound a bit smoother. the bass line itself is also a bit simple for my taste, but it works very well when the other synths kick in, just not on its own for me.

so theres a few comments from me, most are personal taste, but i hope it helps you if you want to go back and change some details very very good overall, i love the sounds and the way uv influenced that track.

definately think break comes in too early and pad is too loud for me (just listening again!!)

mike

sorry for posting twice, i just realised what it was about the first half of the break that i didnt like. there was one pad which stayed the same note even while the chords changed, and i dont think this works. its only in the first half of the first break i think. its like a swirley atmos pad sound, and it kinda ruins the chords in the break, its fine the second time round, i think its just an effect. sounds a bit like a vocal sample or sumin, i duno, but idont like it

Posted by dEEkAy on Jul-15-2004 13:12:

dont complain about the chord notes
i was just too lazy to make chords myself so i took the Bren-F Midi File
so I'm just 50% guilty

Posted by Mike_Foyle on Jul-15-2004 13:15:

i just think its a bit thin in the break

by the way...i used the trackpreset from my previous track "Without You" (Original one)...just used parts of the percussion from that one.

This is pretty awesome, I have to agree about ditching that weird handclap at like :54 and 3:39 and other places. Very nice rearrangement of the melody, me likey
