Toufas,
Awesome!!! I cant wait. Thank you for doing this it should be very cool.
for armin:
1. Every year you are going up in the dj mag rankings and everybody believes that you are the next best thing in trance music. How hard it is for you to maintain your low profile . Do you think your popularity and world wide travel has affected your taste and style in music
2. DJ'ing is a very competive feild. how and what have you done to continue to be a leader in your feild. what type of dedication or work ethic does it invole?
3. Do you think fame and fortunes can affect the dj's performace and artist quality? How do you manges to not let this affect you?
4. There are a lot of commercial songs that sadly belong in the trance genre (dj sammy lasgo ) and make people think that its kids music. Do you believe that this has made your and your fellow producers more serious? Does this trend pushes trance more into progressive or you think that the genre is not affected at all
5. armin you always talk about how your a trance dj and your not embarresed by it, but what exactly does trance music mean to you?
6. does remixing old hits like silence, flaming june, synaesthesia show us a lack of inspiration or just an adaptation of old songs in a more mainstream sound
7. Old trance or nowdays trance?
8. To any aspiring dj what advice would you give them in reguards to how to play out in front of crowds. Can you please eloborate on how you select songs to play while observing the crowd? Do you watch the crowd and follow their lead in reguards to how you play or do you try to take the crowd on a "journey" and focus more attention on song selection and flow?
9. Europe, particularly Holand has embrassed EDM. With your extensive traveling and knowledge why do you think the USA has not embrassed EDM as much as other places in your opinion? Is it something cultural?
10. Some have argued that the drug scene in EDM has effected it image and as such EDM popularity has suffered. Do you think more dj's need to take a proactive stance on anti-drug use in clubs? what is your opinion?
11. Armin you have made some very beautiful remixes and productions. Can you tell us what goes on in the mind of an artist like yourself when your working on something? Do you loook at other works or do you start from scratch so to speak?Do you listen to the work of your fellow trance dj's like Paul Van Dyk, Tiesto, or Ferry Corsten? Which of these dj's do you admire most if any?
12. Are vocals bad for the genre or do they make trance what it is by expressing a feeling
13. The sound of goodbye (dark matter remix), Markus schulz remix for burned with desire(brian cross on the b side), alibi, future collaborations with other producers
14. House music, any chance of doing it again since you were very nice at it
15. Upcoming releases, personal album , any new compilations
16. You , david lewis and Maykel Piron are responsible for 8 labels. Who is doing most of the work for them?
17. The world is going to end tomorrow, pick a venue and 5 records
18. Since your constantly taveling and playing at large events how do you protect your hearing at these shows? How you you manage to et enough energy to play night after night?
19. Armin some might say that your one of the most educated dj's in the history of EDM. Can you explain in a bit more detail how you manged to be a world class dj and continue to go to law school?
lemon 8:
1. What do you think that the future of progressive is?
2. Do you think that progressive trance and house are any different?
3. Some people think that you changed your style, and moved to a more progressive house sound, why is that?
4. Producing and remixing or spinning? And why
5. when and how you entered the music industry
6. next mix cd?
7. what do you like to do in your spare time besides producing?
8. How long did it take to master your basslines, since they are awesome
9. Not about musicbut why do you smoke so much?
10. Which song that was produced by someone else would you like to produce

12. upcoming remixes and productions

Armin made a lot of good house tunes, I'll just name a few I like.
Armin - Push (prolly my fav., funny tune)
Armin - Check out your mind
Armin - The Real Life (sort of prog.)
Electrix - Gettaway (AvB Remix)
Problem Boy - Self Control
Wodka Wasters - Pass the bottle
Gig - One
Armin - Virgo (this one is techno)
Technology - Electronically Entertained (great tune, could've been another Blue Fear)
and there's lot more
if Armin hadn't gone to trance he'd have bright future in house, I'm very glad he did tho.
thanX

Dear Fellow Trance Addicts:
Toufas was kidnapped by armin van buuren while conductiong the interview. Sources beleive the reason was due to armin's love for young men

Tell Armin to make ASOT a monthly show, instead of weekly. That way, the fans will actually have a chance to grasp what's being played to them... and not crammed with too many new songs.
