[rant] I didnt have anything against avril till i heard her say in an interview, that she never took lessons for guitar or learned to read music, because she didnt want it to blah blah blah. I hate anyone who makes not knowing how to play your intrument, or learning correct music theory look cool. Loads of djs know music theory, and everything, and its complete bullshit whenever someone says it stifles creative abilities. It does just the opposite. Its like a chemist knowing what each of these chemicals do so that he can make them into a cure for a disease, rather than taking millions of blind guesses before he stumbles on the right formula.[rant]

Oh and yes im aware that theres loads of great guitarists that never learned to read music. Its still a good thing to learn though.

Wow, this tracks are awesome... !!

But seems a lot under-production, i mean: They aren't masterized and sounds more like demos than final releases.

For example, most perc sounds comes from plain 808, and its clear that they both need a lot of acustic processing or upgrade the technical produccion...

But ONLY THIS. Pure technical matters, the ideas and the songs are perfect as is.

Hope U know what i mean

James is a genius. I've discover this fact since I knew he exists because of Balance 005

I noticed the 808 drums, I like the way the toms swing and sometimes the claps sound very alive because they aren't strictly looped but sound like they're tapped spontaneously. (On the dub, of course, this is a different story.) I see it as a sense of playful humor to tie the cliched back on itself like that children's book, Leo the Lop... sort of ironic. A contrast to the unorthodox processing of the original track and Britney's voice.

He he, it's clear: The tracks are enterely maked with buzz, a modular virtual system that Holden loves specially...

Smile

Excellent. Thankyou to James Holden.

I suppose Britney's lawyers will be on the case pretty soon though.

No they aren't, he's since purchased Cubase and uses that along with Buzz.

Why would you assume that? He got the individual vocal tracks straight from the label....

Yes the dub is more of a minimalistic electro-tech piece, but the vocal is absolutely amazing.
