hehe I really don't understand why they do.
AND if you want to cancel the booking you have to tell em at least 7 days before and they will still take 1/3 of your money. If you call em and want to cancel the booking lets say 6 days before.. you wont get any money back at all!
and choose "Kontokort/H�mta ut" when u pay for the ticket. that's the easiest way, trust me.. since they dont send the tickets to USA (I spose) 
then u will get to this screen where u have to type your "booking number" after u've pressed OK, u will get the ticket in your hand

and cancel a ticket. here is the number
