I shall declare that you have no fucking idea of what you are talking about...

last week i went out and bought a load of new recs.. most of them produced this year and all outstanding tunes.. your just looking in the wrong places

hahha that's EXACTLY what i expected you to do, name a bunch of tracks nobody knew like the last time. (maybe back in june??) but the thing is by the time we all know these tracks, most of us arent gonna think much of em... hehe. im not kidding really i jus' remember from your last list. like rm - godspeech was in there (wtf?) but you did have a couple decent songs. mostly hard trance.

anyways i agree w/ the basic statement, there's not too much, dont say the sound is changing or whatever.. it IS, so there's not much epic trance indeed. only hard trance really.. its cuz tribal /other forms of house are so big in the uk and us this year...

i do believe we'll see a return in the next 6 mos tho. even if i have to get off my ass and make a track or two myself!

I know most of these tunes you picked out and they are sucky to mediocre.

So no, I'm not deaf and YES, the tunes you picked out suck.

No, It's just that my expectations of a GOOD NEW TUNE are much much much higher than yours.

Fire&Ice - Souvenir De Chine
Jan Johnston - Flesh (Tiesto mix)
Citizen Canned - The jorney (I think this was released this year right?)


Are they bad?

think citizen caned was released in 2000. not sure though but it don't matter i don't like it. as for fire & ice and flesh, those are great tunes. good examples mindshooter. never heard of step back though. i still agree with the majority of what djversus is saying though.

Hooligan - Hear you now (grandchilla's mix) and Marc Kelso - Half lit World are 2 of the most beautiful tracks to come out this year !

btw those are tracks 1 and 3 from the recent DJ Tiesto EM.

Headquarter - succesful enter is a hard trance tune and it rocks

Planet Violet - Velvet Skies especially the Mario Lopez mix is also one very beautiful and uplifting trance tune.

soooo to proove my point i shall upload some of those tracks to a locker, PM me for locker details.

Orinoko - Island ( 4 mixes )
Bullit - Cried to Dream (Max Graham remix)
Steffen - Gonna Lose You (Airscape Mix)
Transfer - possession (4 mixes)
Q-Projection - Julie (3 mixes)

All of the above are a mixture of hard trance and uplifting trance

Honestly, do you guys every tire from constant complaining?

First off to get this out of the way:
Silverblue - Step Back (Haven't heard it)
Fire&Ice - Souvenir De Chine (I don't know WHY the big deal aobut this track, its nothing special IMHO.)
Jan Johnston - Flesh (Tiesto mix) (Not bad, but very short beat intro so when you mix it it clashes basslines and sounds screwed up)
Citizen Canned - The journey (I think this was released this year right?) (Not bad but gets very annoying.)

OK, secondly, really guys, you have to realize that music EVOLVES. Look at house back in the day...its called classic house now. It was simple, just beats, vocals, and maybe a little synth. Trance music is evolving, and the DJ's evolve with it. There are almost as many sub-genres for trance as there are for house, and they are just as diverse. Comparing uplifting trance and progressive trance is like comparing hard chicago house to deep french house. Its like comparing apples and television sets. Do you get what I'm saying? There is by no means a lack of good trance productions out this year.
I'm extremely picky with my music and I have even been pretty satisfied this year.

I shall declare that there is no shortage of good tunes.

Versus: I understand where your coming from, but give me some examples of tunes you like?

yeah those tracks are all weak for "classics" or whatever, i mean fire & ice is ok, flesh is the closest thing.. obviously its a big track for this year...

step back is a HORRIBLY AVERAGE tune, and citizen caned is a one (year) and done track also.

there is some nice new stuff, yes orinoko all the mixes are great.. bullit max graham mix was released last yr i believe? (oaky played it on travelling), but also great track

Step back is Awesome! Alot of ppl here love it...try out the vocal mix....I had it as Direct DL..dont know how U managed to miss that

And BTW there seems to be no longer version of that Rune track.....ive seen lotsof threads about it and everybody has the 4.14 versoin....

lol..where do u get all these tunes from ?! somehow u manage to come up with some unheard stuff.
Most of the trance i heard is sucky...the last good tune i heard is in my sig and some 20 tunes i dlded after it were horrible !!

We need someone to review and suggest some good stuff...

heh, this thread was the first time someone quoted me, Dang yall have mentioned some good songs. Like I said, the mainstream trance is going down, good trance is just harder to find. Keep this thread going with these song names, this is fun

I really don't know what all the fuss about the Fire & Ice - Souvenir De Chine is all about... the song doesn't sound anything different from the previous 20 trance tunes I managed to download the day I got that... nothing special. And I totally agree about that lack of good trance tunes, everything was just done already!

BTW, last GREAT trance tune I heard was Tiesto's remix of Delerium - Innocente, and that was waaay back...
