I feel the pain. Just bought a Norco Sasquatch and if someone ripped that off...well...it'd be like losing a spouse (as funny as that is, thats a serious comment).

My hunk of rust takes beatings everyday, and has been for 5 years since I've been using it to go to school for 5 years. Bikes are strong; shocks, extra 15 gears, pretty blue metallic colours are expensive. |

its more expensive because they're lighter and stronger with excellent gears, etc...
but both drive fine in the city 
I had my $10 bike stolen, which I bought at a garage sale. This happened at Jane n Wilson about 10 years ago. It didn't have breaks, it looked like shit but someone had to cut my $5 lock and run off with it as well my friends 300$ bike.
