i see many people named 'mix' cds .. i guess it's difficult for a dj to compile a full cd of self-engineered songs, with all his/her worldwide travelling club-hopping ..

i do rarely see djs create cds .. usually mix cds.

Posted by Nautilus on Aug-04-2004 05:06:

Nu-NRG - Free Fall
Bobina - Catchy!
Three Drives - Melodies From The Universe
Armin van Buuren - A State Of Trance 2004
Blank & Jones - Monument
DJ Tisto - Just Be
Markus Schulz - Coldharbour Sessesion 2004

I haven't given Sasha - Involver much playing time to recommend it. I'll listen to it some more since half you freaks seem to love it so much.

I really love the Hard NRG (Disc 2) released by the commercial carnts at Ministry of Sound. Can't remember the number but its got a red cover and pink discs.

Not sure if you get the same mix out of Australia, but it really grew on me that various artists put together.

Have none of you heard James Zabiela - ALiVE?

Best mix comp since GU013, IMO.

Posted by Cyberted on Aug-04-2004 16:18:

best mix comp is deffo gu22 dave seamen @ melbourne. all time fav gu cd.

best comp this year is by far tiesto just be. long awaited highly anticpatied. result.

Posted by re2two on Aug-04-2004 16:23:

nice stuff

yeah i think that NU NRG freefall comp is nearly alot of peeps fave in this one. i keep seeing it getting typed down

for me it has to be involver and maybe sander's renaissance. havne't heard of coldharbour. what kind of stuff is it? what is it house breaks trance.

i need to check out that ahead1 comp as well. seems to be better quality trance.

i really don't get into much armin stuff due to the fact that he's similar to tiesto. tiesto has been sucking lately especially his just be cd. boooooooring.

Zincs bingo sessions also heavy

I mentioned Dieselboy's Dungeonmaster Sessions, I got it a bit more of late and it's even better than I first said. I love the 2nd CD with the remixes, I wish he had used one more ill skillz track, so bass heavy

Is there any variety to this cd. I have only had the displeasure of watching Dieselboy once. Waa wa wa wa wa wa wa waa wa wa wa wa wa. That was what the music sounded like. I take Dara or AK1200 over him any day.

Posted by NiteMer on Aug-04-2004 17:45:

I don't want to read all the posts to see if it has been mentioned, but I think Hernan Cattaneo's Renaissance Masters was this year, and that double disc kicks ass!

There's variety this time, I hate that sound....sorta like Bad COmpany's mix cd...you could not tell they mixed the tracks..

I figured, based on what I have heard from you before, that it would be better than his usual, but wanted to check. I also hold a grudge against him for the prick move he pulled here in Denver. Another Bad Boy Bill ego case situation. He played a party with ATB and was all pissed off that ATB got the slot he wanted and the headlining role. Seriously, I know that ATB isn't that great of a dj, in all actuality, but the masses don't know that. He proceeded to sign an autograph, "Trance is the devil" with an arrow at ATB's name. What a jackass jungle elitist. Respect other peoples shit.

I'm about to do an interview with him, I'll ask him about it.....HAHAHHAHHAHA

Posted by NiteMer on Aug-04-2004 19:04:

Please do! And let me know his side of the story. It oughta be a good one!
