I usually does (equals people thinking they are hated) when one is insecure about themselves or their abilities.

(not that this is the case here, just speaking in generalities)

You usually

a) Use constructive criticism when you are insecure

or

b) Believe people are attacking you when you recieve constructive criticism

?

Ahh yes, I tend to be quite harsh to comments directed towards me as well. However, when it is CONSTRUCTIVE criticism, I tend to come around sooner or later

Damnit.. I just wrote a long response and the ****** didn't save...

To summarize: My comments have been unclear in this thread - sorry. I wasn't directing comments at you, but agreeing with you (that constructive criticism <> hatred) and was trying to further elaborate that people who think (constructive criticism = hatred) are usually insecure about themselves and their abilities.

Such idealistic views of self here..
"I will cast away society so I can be better than all of them"

Is there something wrong with that? Mind you I don't think that I am better than everyone. That being said, I tend to shun most views held by mainstream society and popular culture. Not because i hate main stream culture, just that most popularily held views are misconcieved and based on questionable facts.

At true idealist would not care about him/herself being idealistic. They would think that that is they way they are, therefore that is the way they should be
