Most of my good friends have moved away, but I still have a few that I go out with. Hence the reason that I am visiting people all the time and going random places like Kansas City, Denver, etc ... a lot of the time. I'm really not looking to meet a solid new group of core friends here because I'll be moving and I've already kind of 'established' my really good friends that I'll keep in contact with forever.

Jason I think I'm going to be out in Denver again in October or November, don't puss out this time

Posted by Ygrene on Aug-05-2004 19:22:

I have absolutely zero friends here in TX. Anytime we go out it's me, my gf, and all her girlfriends. It used to be weird but now I'm totally comfortable with it - like Floorfiller said:
"i know you hear about the girl that's one of the boys, but maybe i'm the freak opposite!!"

Twice a year though, I get to head home to Indiana and hang with the guys. Total guys nights out with partying, drinking, and general tom-foolery.

But I really do miss having that one "best" friend, like Orbax and his brother - a local homey to hoop with and spin with and lift with.

A majority of my friends are guys , always been that way. The few female friends that I do have I have known for over 15 years ,since high school. When I go out with the guys it's fun ,go to the bars ,shoot pool , watch movies , go out to eat etc. etc. . But it seems like a lot of time when I go out with women they just want to bitch about their Boyfriends ,rather than have a good time. ( Im not saying that all women are like that , cuz they're not !)

Posted by chojin on Aug-06-2004 12:14:

i have a group of about 5 friends and we always go out drinking together, nights out go places etc. then i have the outer group, who we just happen to see out :P consists of about 20..

then there's the randoms that i know from school, work, college, various other places. overall i just tend to hang around with my core group of 4/5 mates though

Posted by Floorfiller on Aug-06-2004 12:16:

maybe those of us that hang out with lots of girls should just be thankful??

Posted by Eis on Aug-06-2004 13:34:

I have a lot of friends but only a few good ones. With my 2 best friends we play pool together 2-3 times a week, we play games in lan and on the net.

And in the wintertime me and my friend we go to downhill ski almost every weekend. With a larger group of friends we get together and drink on fridays or saturdays, listento good music and talk about everything.

All in all im happy with my current friends, they are all so different. Some are musicians, some don't like trance, some are extreme athletes and so on, I like to hang out with different kinds of ppl.

Posted by Spyder on Aug-06-2004 14:24:

most of my friends are into rock, so i guess rockers.
i have a romantic who falls in love the second a guy looks at her
i got a friend who cant stand ppl and dises their intellectual incapability at every moment of every day
i have a friend who takes every day of his life as an adventure (sober)
got this other girl whos gets stoned as much as possible but is GREAT and having a laff or two when your reallydown
girl form london who is very high spirted in joy and fun
i got the typical gino looking friend who i will tell almost everything to
then i have a shit loads of friends online who i just love to chitchater about whatever comes to mind.. (mostly on TA)

Posted by Slylee on Aug-06-2004 14:28:

i only have a few, but they are solid and very down to earth.

Posted by PHALPAX on Aug-06-2004 14:36:

I have many different friends from both genders and all walks of life, mainly due to the fact I actually listen to people whine and complain about problems in their lives and give them semi-useful advice on how to solve them.

I ave varying groups of friends.

A bunch of my mates from SA who I grew up clubbing with who are in london.

My best friend, still in SA, havent seen her for 2.5 years.

My love, Misty Kitty, who I met through here and subsequently made friends with loads of London UKTA's who i see more regularily than not.

A huge group of mates of MPFSPromotions, the first clubbing forum I joined when i came to the UK, we have meetups from time to time (saw em all at GKGG)

My older brother and his bunch in london who i see from time to time.

Some newer mates of OCUK, we generally talk computers and play multiplayer stuff online.

I have 3 female friends, the rest of my friends are male.

Posted by Boomer187 on Aug-06-2004 16:18:

I usually always have at least one girl who is like really really best friends with me. The inseperable type of friendship. But this last year was the only year I lacked that....

then back home I have 3 guys I woudl tlak to every single day, and when we'd hang out there woudl be at least 10 of us guys and around 6-7 girls.

but our cirlce was huge, our big parties were freakin massive, its almost scary how many people I know and kinda know.

but now im in vegas and I know 2 dudes that I hang out with. I still need mah chickz0r to hang out with everyday damn it.

She's the only girl that I've been friends with and haven't slept with. And that's only because she is/was married.

Is anyone else like that? In the perfect world I could be just friends with the women I meet, but it always leads to the same place...

Hrm.

My best friend also happens to be female (well, both of them). One things turned out so that we got into a relationship for a while, and once it broke off, it really was not the same. The other one I still am best friends with (She was a previous good friend of mine's ex) and we have never hooked up. ALways the tension though, but still I'm abiding by the "Don't get with your friend's exes" rule.

Don't know bud, i personally don't think you can remain best friends with a gal after having a relationship with her (too many memories, and i'd probably have to kill the guy if i was hangin out with her and her new boy and the were all kissy lovey). It kinda like double down, if it the relationship works, than your significant other is also your best friend, if it doesn't, you lose both the relationship and the friendship.

The upside to it: It's def nice to be surrounded by beautiful women!

The downside to it: When clubbing, I have to carry everything for 4 girls since their outfits are usually pocket-less. Nothing like trying to whip out some cash at the bar and pulling out lipstick (or something worse ) with it.

Posted by lcid on Aug-06-2004 19:09:

i'm a female and all my friends are guys. i find most chicks that i meet are annoying and i have nothing in common with them (now maybe if there were more girls in Milwaukee who liked trance music)... but it's been like that almost my entire life. my best friends have always been dudes, except for 2.

my friend Jamie, who was my best gf when i was living in NY, now lives in TX and has a kid. we used to party like rockstars together and we still talk on occasion but not as much as we used to.

my friend Rebecca, who was born 12 hours after me and our parents lived in the same building. i always see her when i go back to NY to visit but other than that we don't really keep in contact.

then there is my best friend Chris, who also lives in NY. we talk on AIM every day and he knows EVERYTHING about me. he probably knows me better than i know myself. i've known him for about 4 or 5 yrs now. i see him everytime i go back to NY, but i wish i could see him every weekend.

and my friends from high school - Dre, Chris, Keith, and Jimmy (3 black dudes and an innocent little wigger boy, lol). i talk to them on occasion and always try to get together when i'm back in NY visiting, but the group has kind of fallen apart since i moved away.

probably my best friend around here is my bf, and i get along really well with his friends so we all hang out together a lot. i don't know them well enough to know their numbers or anything, but we always have a good time together. my old group of friends was all people that i met thru my last bf, so when that relationship ended a lot of them got lame so i just decided to detach myself from that group entirely. i still talk to a few of them here and there, but i don't make much of an effort to chill with them.

other than that i have a lot of acquaintances around here that i chill with but i don't really consider them close friends. and i have a lot of people that i consider friends that i talk to online but i don't really chill with them at all.

i just wish i had one really cool chick friend. girls in wisconsin suck.

I thought you said she was just a friend????

now you're interested in her??

well, I'm not surprised she's gorgeous, but the friendship will be ruined..

damn Ladder Theory

Posted by Nell on Aug-06-2004 20:39:

haha not quite, ladder theory doesnt apply here i'm afraid. we dated before we became friends and things have happened over the past 5 months, it's a past tense not a future one. tbh, im not good friends with any of those in the pic, just friendly etc (from my side anyway) what can i say.. i like the p00n.

Youre lucky. I know sooo many people who like their GF and BF a lot, but arent best friends...which seems contradictory. Maybe thats why they never work out

anyways, cool whered you meet.
