for the ppl requesting the excel file..
PM me with your e-mail address
thanks for the compliment kevin
hiya everyone. Thanks for thanking me, I enjoyed organizing everything and, if needed, I'll repeat the job in the future. lol no i'm not alphaDelta, but his remix was friggin' awesome! I did not do a remix at all for this competition (i stayed and am staying busy producing original work so sorry =] ) Oh and btw, ISOTERRA WHERE ARE YOU!!!! somebody pm that guy (or girl?).
Stan.
Isoterra's in Amsterdam for a few days (at dancevalley). He'll be back on monday night or soon after pending on how much hes had
Listening to the other entries now, great remixes everyone! Congrats to Isoterra, most def a very superb remix.
Can't wait for the next competition, was fun! Thanks to Stan and the judges for puting this together!
great competition... much appreciation and respect to the organisers. this has been also a good attempt to push the tranceaddict producers forward.
congrats to isotera. your remix is pure quality.
and also respect to the other attendats. you all did a great job.
Good Job Everyone. I will take a listen to the other entries.
This is the first Remix contest where I actually got RESULTS.
Past remix contests where nothing has happened and they never announced winners:
Momu - Audro : Spundae Records Remix Contest (March, 2004)
Sinful Nature - Siren's Last Goodbye : NDR Remix Competition (June, 2003)
sinful, can you correct me on that?
Do I get a special prize for 4th????.......
....thought not!!
Thanks a lot guys! Had a lot of fun with this! Thanks for the comments too

it was a pleasure to judge, though it's not that easy
Thanks to Stan, and congrats to all of you. You all did a great job... & congrats Isoterra
I's just like to thank everbody who played a role in setting up the comp, taking the time to enter and taking the time to judge and to provide such helpful constructive criticism.
Isn't it amazing how a little snippet of vocal could inspire such beautiful and diverse music?
My little tune came in 9th which surprised the hell out of me. It was the first time I ever used Reason to produce a track and the first remix I ever produced.
I totally agree with the main criticisms the judges raised of poor mixing/mastering and the dodgy kick/hihat sounds I used.
I had a real blast producing the track. I haven't had so much fun for ages in fact. I might try and do a Cubase version and go for a higher quality production.
I'd be very interested to know what gear/software/hardware others used to get their sound, particularly isoterra and alphadelta. The quality of those two tracks is phenomenal. All tips greatfully received by us beginners!!
Thanks again to all

reason & recycle here
Nice on BasherT
Mainly Fruityloops v4 + VSTi's
Thanks everyone!
Can't believe I won, lol, would have been happy with just finishing in the top half! Only just got back from Holland tonight, Dance Valley was awesome... top weekend all in all and this news tops it off
.. thanks again to all the judges & people who commented. In response to people asking what I used, it was sequenced in Fruityloops 3.56, using the following VSTIs: Polyiblit, Pro-53, FM7, V-Station & Z3ta+... I think that was it. The percussion samples came from various sources.
Well done to everyone who contributed... I'm staying at a friend's house tonight but I'll download the pack when I'm home tomorrow & post comments
Also, apparently I get to choose what the next remix competition is?
Sounds excellent... can someone provide me with a list of tunes used in the previous competitions just so I know what's already been done? I'm only aware of this one & Plummet - Damaged. Thanks... and also, when do people think would be a good time to aim for?

I've got no time to listen to the remixes! I'll post my review tomorrow!
------------
I use Fruityloops 4.01 + NI Pro-53, FM7, Absynth 2! And rarely use mda JX16! And of course Waves plugins!!!
Hey....
How do i use that .rar file...?? Eager to get the Mp3 files....
it is an archive file (like a zip file) and needs to be unRARchived (like unZIPping) which you can do with a shareware program called WinRAR (like WinZIP) which you can get by searching google or www.download.com or just go to www.winrar.com (i think)..
Geez, i wish i hadn't missed that contest... maybe i'll remix the track anyhow...
btw. i listened through the results and i was a bit disappointed. the results for the damaged competition were a lot better.
don't get me wrong, the remixes for this competition are not bad but it's just that many of the remix have really an enormous potential but are just mastered awfully or have a bassdrum or a snare that does not fit, or things like that.
from all of the results submitted my favorite remixes are isoterra, neotune, acute and psy-t. isoterras remix indeed is great, tho i miss a little bit more drive and is it just me, or is the kick a bit too much on the right channel
hope i can participate in the next competition
