Tiesto needs to take 6-7 months off. And stop doing this one day I m in chicago next Day I'm in London. He needs to refocus his energy, passion, and love for the music.

I would highly reccommend that PVD, Tiesto, and Armin now need to start doing a few VERY large events when they tour instead of club to club thing. For example. A Tiesto in Concert for the East Coast and one for the West Coast would have been perfect. Atleast all his fans would feel happy that he took the time to prepare, sleep, and think about the set.

Paul Van Dyk needs to refocus on his production work instead of trying to spin at every club in the world.

Armin and Ferry actually have not hit these road blocks as the above but I hope they learns from thier peers.

What I hope these DJ's do not only for themselves but also for the music is start spinning togther in a concert like event across the world in select areas. For example. a Trance Event here in america were Tiesto, PVd, Armin, and Ferry would play in a concert style thing toghter would be insane and worth a high ticket price. and only 1-2 events. Not every city thing. People in the states would travel and spend big $$$ to know if this is going to be a the best show these dj's can put on.

My ratioanle is fewer small events, but newer "concert" style( think tiesto in concert) events with higher ticket prices to compensate for fewer tours. The DJ's will still make $$$, the fans wil be happier, and the DJ's will be heathier/happier.

Paul Van Dyk, Tiesto, Armin Van Buuren & Ferry Corsten Worldwide Tour.

That would be insanely good!

They need to do stuff like this inorder to get trance the hightened popularity it needs. Trance is becoming the newer music of choice for people across the globe; the club venue thing will no longer work in this era of the gloabl dj and global dance music. Mae the clubs for up and coming dj's and give the concerts to the big boys. This would indeed be the artistic revolution that needs to take place. This about Rock and Roll, the concers and event it held which help it gain mainstream popularity.

oakenfold - he needs to stop full stop. he might go on to be a succesful rock star but thats besides the point. for someone who is in the top 10 in the world, he plays tunes that were released 6 months ago, has no style, no structure and he cent mix.

pvd - he should keep on DJing, though he needs to update his t/l a bit more often. as for producing, he should take a break and get some new ideas or get himself a charlie may type production guru

tiesto - he'll keep on djing whether we like it or not, hes huge. the fact hes djing at the olympics shows that. again his production skills were never amazing, and just be is nothing special.

johan gielen - hes the worst Dj ive ever seen
judge jules - no one wants to hear you talk, fuck off

Sent you a PM of my touring schedule and a few of my lastest mix cds.

john kelly amongst others. i was at passion for new year last year and as well as playing the worst set that i have ever heard in my entire life, he completely stoped the decks in the middle of his set and played Queen - Another One Bites The Dust (not even a cheesy dance version, but the original). i was so shocked that i just walked straight out of the club.

it really does get me u know, that there is so much upcomming talent in the world that should be given a chance, instead of clubs booking djs such as john kelly etc who do not have a clue anymore about what the crowd really wants.

MOVE OVER AND LET OTHER DJS HAVE A CHANCE!!!!

Ohhhh Dj Sammy.. Good call!
I would also like to Add Ian Van Dull () and Lasgo to the list. These are the 3 mofo's that gave Trance the bad name of cheesy!!

LOL...special in the way that kids who ride the LITTLE schoolbus to school are special.

(No offence to kids who ride the little bus...)

You're a fuckin' idiot. So a tour schedule and a plane makes a great dj eh? Who gives a shit about the music right, they have a nice shiny plane, and some money because they used to be good. We should definitely like every single thing that they ever do because they used to be good. This is the type of mentality that makes pop music what it is... a never evolving, pile of shit, that people like to listen to because other people think it's cool. Thanks for your input on what makes for a good dj bud...

Posted by TJM on Aug-10-2004 16:56:

Theres far too many shockingly dull DJs clogging up the scene and getting bookings off the back of being half decent once upon a time. Lots of dead wood needs shifting coz theres a lot of great talent coming through.

Judge Jules & Tall Paul are the worst offenders for me, theyv got nothing to offer anymore.

Paul Oakenfold shouldn't quit.

I would say that he, just as Tiesto, should leave the decks, leave the studio, and go travel around the world for like 6 months or a year. No studio, music only on radio...no production, no clubs...

Just a big BIG break - inspirational, i hope.

Check Matt Darey. 3 years break and then loads of good mixes and tracks.

hey, DIP SHIT, if u read what i put, then maybe, and just maybe (assuming u really can read) u will realize i put nothing of what makes a good DJ. so ur entire comment, was a waist of time. im just saying people didnt get big by being bad producers/djs. also the comment was more along the lines of a joke than it was serious.

but seriously, i appreciate your input

oh wait

no, no i dont

Posted by Michael19 on Aug-11-2004 00:17:
