Yoda: I'm quite sure it is on Channel 7 on this Saturday:

3.30pm - Live
11.30pm - Replay

Try AM Stamper, you're 12 hours late!!

Interesting .. I wonder what the crowd will make of it...

If he'll play his normal style, or he'll throw in house and breaks and other more "mainstream" stuff...

i somehow doubt all this guys

the greek guy who composed the music for the opening ceremony read the clause of his contract saying if he revealed anything of the opening ceremony he would lose all payment made to him AND have to rectify any losses because of it.

Yeah there seems to be some doubt in my mind about this too.

Until I actually see and hear the opening ceremony i'm approaching this news with some scepticism.

This will be interesting to say the least. Good luck to him though.

To put your skepticism to one side fellas, its on the front page of Tiesto's official site, I doubt they would be writing on rumours - I think they (Black Hole Recordings) would know.

Its just weird to comprehend that someone who i saw in good ol Adelaide last year who 75% had never heard of, is now one of the main performers in front of an event witnesed by 2.2 billion people worldwide.

Also - how do you fake a rueters page? or fool them into publishing tripe?

I'd say it's ridgy-didge.

yep - wierd, but I'm stoked, and as someone has already said, we're not used to the idea here cos trance aint nearly as big here as in europe. Has a totally different level of exceptance. Plus- in a way, it's epic and emotive music and that's the vibe i guess they want to create.

good luck to him!

The Greeks are probably hoping that everyone will get so off their heads to his set they won't notice the stadium falling apart around them. wish i was one of 'em

I wonder if all the construction work is finished?

The Athens Olympic web site seems to suggest that.. but you can do a lot with computer graphics these days.

Posted by Trance Nutter on Aug-13-2004 04:11:

Well it got to the point where they couldn't be bothered building the roof over the swimming pool.......

Posted by alex_cooke on Aug-13-2004 06:48:

Yeah... Channel 7 are going to be broadcasting it at 3:30am and replaying at 11:30 for all the lazy buggers who can't be bothered getting up. I hope that Bruce McAvainy and Sandy Roberts dont talk over the whole thing... That would be so dodgy... Hopefully someone will be able to get a recording without any TV commontary... With the unlikely event of no talking i'm still going to record it (VHS Stereo) - Just to watch back laters...

AC -x0x-
