JET=MY GINORMOUS WANG=THERE MOUTH
so to sum up my conclusion i dont care
Who is Jet?
In all seriousness, I've never even heard of him/her/them
Well, they've got a point. Unless they produce, most DJ's do nothing but play other people's tunes (beatmatching doesn't count, check "Fatboy Slim" on how technical skills are not always linked to fun factor) and don't realise they're jukeboxes who should please the crowd instead of boosting his own ego.

| It's kind of irrelevant now because the whole dance-culture thing has kind of died since I wrote it, but ['Rollover D.J.'] is definitely an anti kind of statement towards all that music. And club music, too. Duhm-duhm-duhm-duhm it sounds more like a construction site than music. |
who is this noname deejay? wtf? needs to crawl back into the hole he crawled out of.
>JM<
I think Jet is kinda shitty. The music, their attitudes, they seem kinda arrogant to me. Kinda like Oasis and how they thought they were best shite ever. Plus their songs get anoying, esp. if you live in the states, b/c you can't escape them. Their video and concert was all over MTV the last couple weeks. I hate MTV, but for some reason I can't turn it off, it is sadly addictive.
Jet sucks dick
Who the hell is Jet?
yes why whine..eather way they have passion enough to write a song about DJ's who gives a fuck if its negative or not

Whats even worse than this stupid song is reviews in the paper after big day out, a large touring festival in Australia where they have both dance and rock stages. I read one article that said the crowd was so wild when the "roll over dj" tune came on, it just proves that dance music is dead.
Fucking idiot journalists.
There has really been an upsurgeance in the popularity of rock music, in Australia at least, and everybody wants to jump onboard, hence this stupid song. They've even tried to suggest that all djs now introduce themselves by saying "I used to be in a band before I became a dj". Total crap.
Australia produces many one hit wonder bands that have a popular album and then die a slow and painful death, and Jet is simply flavour of the month.
When I first heard the song on the radio, I completely misinterpreted the song. I thought it was about a girl dj who the singer wanted to get out of the booth and come and dance with him.
actually, i like the song, i mean, it's catchy, has a good video, not like i would buy their fucking album but sure if the track goes on mtv, i'll watch it, and their lyrics well, when they write a track like that and in the current form it is like a teeny bopper pop song but done by (insert random rock group)
Well, you know what they say about controversy... I wonder if a DJ will do a response to this call. Maybe Tiesto, Van Dyk, Van Buuren, and Corsten will suit up like superheroes and all collab on a track. Who knows?
bah, just have some fun with it and wait till someone remixes the thing. "nobody listens to techno" ring the bell?

As posted earlier, ASYS - No More Fucking Rock and Roll!!!
Pump that hard!!!!!
Been away from this forum and the whole trance/electronica-scene for about half a year now. Reading about this song shouldn't bother me, but it does. I'm sick of ignorant rockers etc. that has to shout out their opinions about music they don't even know to everyone everywhere. The next wannabe alternative rocker that comes up to me and laughs because I listen to electronica is gonna get a smack. Sometimes I fall down to their level, just because I'm so full of people critisizing my music, and start throwing trash about their kind of music. It doesn't really work though, since I actually enjoy some rock [Tool, APC, Audioslave ++]. Haven't heard this song, but no matter how catchy or whatever it is, I f***ing hate it, and don't tell me to calm down.
PS: I also HATE the music-reviewers that doesn't know jack sh*t about electronica, and then makes a review of a SHITTY euro-dance-pop-cock tune like anything from Dina or bloody Tina (yeah, ridiculous artist names for two Norwegian blondes who sings in these totally cheesy TRASH tunes) and has the nerve to call it TRANCE?! GOD DAMN THOSE ******S.
On the good side; I love the music no matter what people say about it, and the less commerce the better. If they say dance-music is dead, then fine, let it be dead for them and let it live on in the hearts of those who live for the music.
Peace
PVD should strike back lol. After reading an article where he said some nasty stuff about the trance wannebes, I got respect for the man
It was bout how trance music is dieing or something, I can't remember, it's even possible it's in someone's sig on this forum. So PVD says something like 'It's because of people like Ian Van Dahl who call their music trance that we have to suffer too' lmao, that's so cool that he had the balls to say their name outloud
All the others say stuff like 'Oh but taste differ, I respect what they do, it's not really our type of trance'. That german fellow said it how it really is, kudos
