Good luck and best wishes to everyone! I hope Charley doesn't turn out to be huge. Dealing with Isabel last September wasn't fun at all!

Maybe it will bore me to death. Isabel damn near did.

Yeah, my thoughts and prayers definitely aren't with the victims of the hurricane but the potential power loss that might affect an internet radio broadcast.

I hope everyone makes it through alright. I have no experience dealing with hurricanes being from up north but g/l with everything.

Damn how long has this hurricane been in effect? i just found out about it all last night/early this afternoon. I've been working so much that i havent had time even begin to watch tv or listen to the radio. Now all of a sudden my family woke me up this morning all freaked out and shiot. But anyway... If there is anyone out there like me who loves to watch storms and such... here is a navy site of the storm and its progress... nothig much but great clear pics of it path and a satillite pic as well. Great thing since its the navy site its updated frequently.

We're having hurricane party at Hope's house with a million people, its like a damn shelter over there. You can never be too careful for a hurricane, so I got my UPS so if the power goes out we should still have a good 30 minutes of music.

Posted by 3xx3r7 on Aug-13-2004 20:20:

Gonna sweep right through Orlando. Only things I am worried about is my decks, my vinyl collection and my car. The rest of possesions doesn't really matter. However, I don't think it's gonna be that bad. By the time it reaches Orlando, it will slow down a little, since there will be no massive amount of water to power it up.

a hurricane rave would be badass

I totally just got done with talking to a friend of mine about that. I told him that i'm not freaking out about anything really because i dont have much due to relocating alot... the only thing i was worried about were my records which i have in my closet in crates right now, my decks ( which i have all locked up in a coffin.. my car which is a miata... well not much hope for it if winds are bad.. i have a car cover on it to keep from flying branches from scratching the paint. everything else... well whatcha gonna do about it? especially with such a short notice like i had.

I was in the Florida Keys going lobster diving since they're in season down there and had to leave a fkn day early because of the hurricane. Technically we were supposed to leave the day before we did but no one wanted to sit on US1 in gridlock from Islamorada to Miami like a bunch of tools so we just drove back up to Atlanta the next morning. The winds were definitely starting to pick up when we left though. We caught a few good lobster though during our abbreviated trip so all was not for nothing!
