Hehe.

It's not like I'm ENCOURAGING people to skip this event.

But it would be a good excuse not to waste money on it.

I don't expect a LOT of people to skip it, but count me as 'absent' from Space come that date.

Bleh, what a disgrace, him playing a few days near my bday.

Play a better set and I'll reconsider seeing you again, Tisto u bastard!

Posted by RachUCF1001 on Aug-16-2004 03:18:

He's a bastard and a disgrace just because you didnt like his last set at Space. when did Tiesto kill your dog, man? post is a little hostile dontcha THINK!?

Of course it's hostile.

And who's raul?

Aside from being crushed and bashed in the head, he hardly played a set worth seeing/hearing. So that contributed to my having a bad time. I took it personal. The music is what drives me. If it sucks, like it did that night, then I'll be bitchy about it.

More power to ya, man.

It'd take a miracle right of heaven for me to set foot near that fuckin' club that night.

IF Tisto were to play a set which resembled Tisto in Concert from last year or from THIS event, which I happened to be at:

http://www.tranceaddict.com/forums/...&threadid=60842

THEN I'd be there for sure.

Above link IS a good, sick set, the way it should be.

that was a sick set i was there too, but i think that style of trance is long gone, everything now has a hard techish flair to it. who knows i prefer trance of a few years ago..but music, like fashion can be cyclical so maybe it will come back. it cant hurt you to try him one more time, if it sucks, then dont go back, but dont let one bad experience typify every set yet to come.

Posted by LiquidX on Aug-16-2004 23:03:

Im there regardless .. gotta get the juice out of opportunitty's!

Perhaps. Maybe I just need a break from Mr. Verwest, until he picks back up a bit to my taste. I WILL be tuning in for Tisto in Concert '04. He can't POSSIBLY fuck THAT up!

....or can he?

DA,

your love for epic trance and nothing outside the realm makes me wonder how the fuck you enjoy hard bangin german trance ala PVD!!!!

it makes no sense......your tastes are extremely limited....a fact that you boast habitually on this forum......so i dont see how you can detest tiesto and embrace pvd so disproportionatly?????

PvD has been my fav. since Mayday 2000. That's 4 years. No one else has come close to being my #1 fav., other than Rank 1, Armin and recently, Ferry. I don't know, but the way Tisto drops some of his hard tunes doesn't seem right...but when PvD does it, it's JUST right, I can't explain it.

Posted by Mattivi on Aug-17-2004 01:07:

mayday 2000 great set, definetly a trance classic, in should be in every trance lovers, trance cd portfolio, at least if you have any respect for the history of this muzik... as far as when pvd drops hard tunes i would say thats more his style, thats the germen influence, and it sounds right if thats your sound(and usually spins hard at space, because thats what the crowd likes there) i personally like pvd's ibiza sets a little more melodic, less repetive, more journey-like trance(a lot like tiesto). tiesto doenst really play too many hard tunes besides the pervasive tech trance that has infiltrated the scence the past couple years, and he plays most of the more popular tech trance tunes from producers like Marco V, Katana, etc. but your right, last june he did play alot of darker harder stuff at space(esp middle of set), and your right didnt sound right, i never heard him spin stuff like that before, and i saw him twice after that day and he played like the tiesto i know, journey style trance.. the tiesto that i love.. not the aberration at space, it was almost like those werent his vinyls..weird.. just my thoughts.... but i think that the trance of a few years ago was more pure..just better.. i love the old tiesto sets and pvd sets, i prefer both of there older styles... now pvd is a little too bangin' for me(at least at space) and i still love tiesto sets just not as much, just because the muzik has evolved and changed so much. what do you think??
