The title - it's supposed to be Aftershock... not Aftershokk, which is the way people almost always put it in tracklists.

heh today i saw Motorcycle - As The Rush Comes (DJ Tiesto Remix) and i LMAO!!!!

i also saw a few other tracks the other nite, Mark Norman - Phantom Manor was the title, but the real song was DJ Tiesto - Traffic (Original Mix)

People like to say William Orbit - Barber's Adagio for Strings (DJ Tiesto Remix) when it's just Tiesto - Adagio for Strings, since Barber's Adagio for Strings wasn't originally by William Orbit, it was a piece by Samuel Barber, as the song title says. Tiesto remade Barber's Adagio and released it without mentioning William Orbit since he doesn't own a copyright for Samuel Barber - Adagio for Strings. I don't think Tiesto has to say Barber's Adagio instead of just Adagio too since I believe the piece already passed into the public domain (correct me if I'm wrong).

It is true that like branches of a tree, it's when two or more children have a shared parent.

Sort of like how Neuromancer's influence branched out to Shadowrun and Cyberpunk 2020!

Ok, I still have no clue what the chick on Mind One Star for me is going on about. Its sounds like she is says something about castles at one point. Before she says "you will see, then close your eyes and think of me". Any clue?

Hmm cnat think of tracks but on MTV Dance the other night they had some Global Gathering coverage (which was shit) and they interviewed (according to the on-screen text) some dude called MARIO Picotto (presumably his brother Luigi and him played back-2-back that night ) and Junior Jack seemed to be interviewed with Kid CREAM (ain't that Creme ?) ... it's nice to know that the media whores at MTV who try and bring dance music to the masses are so clued up SIGH !

I loved how the word Emergy was made up, and included a made up definition!

2 that bug me

Dark Suite feat Aura - Dark Sweet Piano (Starchaser Remix)

has been called -

Dark Sweet Piano - Dark Sweet Piano
Starchaser - Dark Sweet Piano and so on........

Also

Nu-NRG - Nu-NRG E.P

has been called

Nu-NRG - Energizer E.P - this only pisses me off as i want the "Energizer E.P" so whenever i ask for it people reckon they have when they actually have the "Nu-NRG E.P"

Funny as well that both these releases are on Discogs and have been submitted WRONG!!!!!

It's quite funny how a lot of people (especially mp3 downloaders) have songs from a liveset and assume that they were made by the DJ. For example...

DJ Tiesto - Dreaming (actually BT- Dreaming (Tiesto mix)
DJ Tiesto - Touch Me (actualy the Rui Da Silva feat Cassandra track, but Tiesto played it in some sets)
DJ Tiesto - Silence
DJ Tiesto - Mindcircus

etc etc etc...

I think that's because the tunes are rips from mix CDs. Some programs which rip CDs have an auto-naming system based on the tune names, which is where those mislabels come from. For example... say someone rips ISOS2 by Tiesto... track 4 is 'Touch Me' by Rui da Silva, but the program just takes the song titles and assumes they are all made by the 'artist' of the album. On most complilations this would be something along the lines of 'Various Artists', but when a well known DJ has mixed the album, some people just put them (Tiesto in this case) down as the album artist. So the program generates the name '04 - DJ Tiesto - Touch Me.mp3'. That's probably where most mislabels come from.
