Haha, I see a lot of people taking cheap shots at it (no pun intended) but it's a surprisingly well-done game. I don't think it really makes people wanna join the army, unless they're already inclined that way

Cool, St. Andrew, i'll look out for you , i think the server IP is going to be changed in about a month though. As for the trainings, if you have played an online game akin to AA then they are pretty pointless

If you are playing online, you have to check that you have passed the relevant trainings for each map (the requirements are different for each). Also some servers have an honor minimum function, you start with 10 honor, sometimes that's not enough to play. You need 15 honor to play SF maps and some servers require 25 honor. There's a new server config called "delta force" (or something like that), only people with 50+ honor can play on them!

Also make sure you are logged on to your personnel jacket before you play online.

Ok, I have a problem here, i downloaded the game from the Nvidia link, and now it has 2 files on my HDD, 1 zip and i gather the other one is the executable setup, but for some reason everytime i click on either file it slows my computer RIGHT down and I can NOT put either file into the recycle bin for deletion, and when i try to format the c: drive to get everything back to normal, i cant even do that, it says something like : "Format cannot run the volume is in use by another process. Format may run if this volume is dismounted first. ALL OPENED HANDLES TO THIS VOLUME WOULD THEN BE INVALID. Would you like to force a dismount on this volume.

then when i press yes... it says : "Cannot lock drive. The Volume is still in use.

So I'm gatherin these files that are supposedly this army game fucked up my computer, any help would be appreciated...

Try unistalling any parts of the game that might have been previously installed. Defrag your HD, extract the zip file and place it and the .exe into the same folder and then try to install it. Make sure you have enough room on your HD for the game. I would also suggest downloading the game from the America's Army homepage. http://www.americasarmy.com

I would classify myself as a moderate liberal and as such I find the propoganda uses for this game quite funny. But really when you come to think of it, is it that horrible?? It's just introducing something to the popular culture (ie ADVERTISING). What is this PunkBuster thing - I keep getting booted out half way through matches and I think it is PunkBuster.

I have it enabled - anything else I need to do?

You need to update it constantly... it's the anti-cheat software used by the servers. One thing about AA is that it does crash often (it is programmed by the govt after all ), when AA crashes I manually update punkbuster and that usually solves everything for a while. Let me see if i can find a link to that page (where u can download a small file which you would just double-click to manually update punkbuster when you need - i keep it on my desktop)

Click on the pbweb.exe link (2/3 down the page). Download it, when you double-click it it will open a dos prompt in windows and download the newest batch of files.
