hahahahah awesome story!!!

That would have been such a pretty huge shock to you.

Your grandpa's a trainspotter!!!

Posted by Pariah Cleric on Aug-17-2004 07:50:

I'm 15, my dad's 53 and my grandpa's 85.

You DO have a young family. I'd be suprised if my grandpa listened to music period.

Haha yeah, you gotta tell him that. And make sure he signs up to TA and introduces himself as your granddad. That'd be awesome.

Somewhere in the not-too-distant future, I can foresee an 'Over 60 TA Alliance' haha.

Posted by th0m on Aug-17-2004 10:19:

Hahah, thats awesome man!

I would alread freak out if my dad would recognize my tunes!

Posted by Laszlo on Aug-17-2004 10:27:

I think he is lying.

hahaha that's great!

although i must say, my nana (mom's mom) is hands down the funniest, coolest grandma in the world! first of all, she is a total snob because she grew up in NYC and was a theatre actress (drama queen) and went to private schools, yada yada...she is so funny the way she still acts sort of snobby...it's cute.

she wears about a pound of make up and takes an hour to get ready (still...at 79, lol). she was stunning when she was younger though....spitting image of elizabeth taylor with black hair and everything. and she tells jokes like you wouldn't believe...the delivery of them is just so funny because she has this thick NY accent. AND she smokes weed when she visits my uncle in the bahamas. she loves it. she says she loves to "burn one". lol she's a riot. i love her. she doesn't listen to trance though...only russian classical....figures.

Posted by colonelcrisp on Aug-17-2004 15:51:

ive been teaching my 12 year old sister how to mix.... its been pretty fun.

ya my grandfather hates all technology except for his 1960's color tv that he watches his hockey games on. but he is the best drinking buddy ever, he gets 5 and a half cases a week deliverd by my uncle and he thought i was legal age since i was 15 (im now 21) so needles to say there were alot of "lunches at grandpa's" throughout Highskool

Posted by waXology on Aug-17-2004 17:15:

ahh thats like my family...

well my dad is ermm 54? (forget)

he is a member of TA and posts a few times (merkinmix)

even has been to events such as MOS with Ferry and Tall paul, Paul van Dyk last time he was out and he went to Paul Oakenfold BY HIMSELF!!!! as i had to work!

coolest dad, im very fortunate.

oh and he knows more tracks then i would ever know and im the dj damnit!

you can hear him come home in the company car.. this bass thud pumping tiesto @ innercity or Paul oakenfold live from Ibiza lol!

oh and mum isnt into it much but shes been to i thin k2 events ive played at

Posted by Slylee on Aug-17-2004 17:23:

Oh but we do...

Posted by jcosgrove on Aug-17-2004 23:15:

I still need to take my mum to a club sometime when i play, she loves trance.

Posted by JM on Aug-17-2004 23:47:

this is pure amazing!!

Tell you what, I don't know how you feel about taking your grandpa out to a clubnight, but I'd recomend - i'm serious. It might seem odd a little, after all, old people are not supposed to listen to music.

Bring a pair of earplugs for grandps, unless he's a bit deaf already, tell him to put on some comfortable clothes and take him out... he might have a TON of fun!
