Umm, You don't really need to upgrade if your version has been working fine all this time, Theres something in the options where you turn off the reminder to upgrade, That way it doesnt keep bugging you, Anyways, I been using Winamp 2.95 and it works like a charm, Since 2.95 comes with the NSV suport.

does that mean you're having problems?

Upgrade... The media library is probably one of the best features, saves you adding your music everytime you want a new tune on!

My only problem is Tigerclaw telling me what to do, when I obviously made the decision to jump to Version 5.04 last night. Hence a day late

It's simple, if you don't want a better looking skin and no anti-aliasing, stick with 2.X. If you want good looking eye candy skins w/ anti-aliasing, upgrade. The load for 5 compared to 2 is the exact same, Winamp 5 probably takes up a bit more resources, but it seems a lot of you read TA all day, so I am sure you can spare the resources. Winamp 5 has some bonus features too if you upgrade to a pro version which is burning software etc. I didnt upgrade because I already have NERO which is far superior.

Also not sure if you guys use AVS shit, but I think 5.X comes with a bunch of new plugins for that... so that could be worthwhile checkin' out.

I'm using Winamp 5.03 pushing 400W and it works for me with no bumps. Just don't install the stupid stuff and don't let it run in Windows Startup. Got 510W in my new truck to get to work to listen to 200W to go home to 800W in the living room or 400W on the computer. Got the Sony Walkman at max volume (which won't pump loud enough) to exercise with, so I'm pretty well set with music.

Particularly, the THUMP!

Lol!
