finally something exciting happens in this city..and i know im gonna get flamed for this and going to hear roars "U SICK FUCK!" but i crave action, i love knowing that everything is not peachy..i love the fact that we dont always live in this portective bubble..that people are still human...raw human emotion i love it...imagine what the fuck this guy must have been thru to finally snap like this. just begin to wonder what this guys wife must have done to him for himt o want her killed..thnk ur stars we have it easy...think what must have been going thru his head while he had 9 guns pointed to his head regretting that he reacted to the police like the way he did, grabbing a hostage. he must have knew as soon as he grabbed the hostage, he must have known, "fuck im screwed now, its only a matter of time before they shoot me, and if i let her go they'll have an open target and take it. and if i surrnder i might as well be dead anyways.fuck how do i get myself out of this..what should i do? what can i do?" BAMMM! thoughts stop. hardcore.

the best part of this whole thing was when the two cop cars got into an accident..very professional lol..

Me too.

I rememeber reading something just the other day about how the police commissoner wished the law wasn't so lacks on gun crimes...

I'd be thinking twice right about now if I was a guy with a gun thinking about doing something stOOpid...

hey easy on regent, i dont know if anyone on ta lives there but ive worked there for 4 years now at the outdoor pool, so im probley the closest thing to an expert here.....
Crime is definatley down since 2000 (violent)
the residents are generally dirty crackwhores that live in their own filth to keep it short. (shame for the kids)

LOL!!

Also you know what was surprising. There were people around the scene who when the dude grabed the hostage still stayed there to watch the drama unfold. You'd think they'd fear for their own safety and leave immediately, but apparently they must have thought they were watching a movie or something and forgotten its real life.

Posted by Pett on Aug-26-2004 20:19:

just saying that it has improved much in the past years.
4 years ago there was 8 murders in the park in one summer alone. Since then ive only heard of 2.

Posted by Jayx1 on Aug-26-2004 20:24:

LOL @ only 2!!!

To paraphrase Chris Rock...

YOU AINT SUPPOSED TO HAVE ANY MURDERS!

Posted by Pett on Aug-26-2004 20:27:

i agree , but 2 is a lower number, and with our city murder rate going up i think its a pretty good achievement.

Posted by Carney on Aug-26-2004 20:31:

^^^Jayx1 id like you tell regent that in person.

Sao Paulo averaged 700 reported murders a month in 2000. maybe torontonians should start putting things in perspective.
