well apperantly the music starts at 1PM but the actual parade only starts at 2

so even earlier would be cool

arcade/pub? I think you might be thinking of Sony Metreon?
I mean yeah there is some sorta virtual bowling alley thing
and I think you can sorta get drinks and there's a food court...that place is whack.

GB is on the waterfront near the bay bridge. They open at 11:30 am.
You probably could reserve the upstairs dining room or another space there or just meet there.

I know there's long lines, that's why we'd go there early....like 3:30 or 4.

But it's not in SF, so no coyote.

err....wait loveparade starts at 2. So I guess we'd go earlier.

Is Gordon Birsch that arcade/pub place?

I agree about reserving something. this past WMC in Miami we reserved a very nice resturant and just about 100 TAs were there. I know that this wont be as big, but reserving something would deffinatly make it official.

50/50 chance i will go but if i do, im all about a meet up.

Posted by ASOT100 on Sep-10-2004 19:32:

does reserving a place cost money? im assuming so

maybe we should just bombard some place

Metreon sounds like a good idea just cuz it's a well known place that's easily visible and is large

I'm not too fond of Metreon tho, it's kinda whack

One time my friends and I got kicked out of there cuz we jumped inside the elevator, apparently they actually watch those cameras in there. some security guy escorted us out to make sure we left haha

and this other time they wouldn't let my friends buy tix for Road to Perdition cuz it was rated R and they didn't have IDs...

but besides that I think it'd be a viable place for the meetup, they have food and over priced entertainment there too

Gordon Birsch place sounds pretty good too even tho I've never been there and have no idea where it is

maybe i can just make a huge tranceaddict sign and hold it up in union square :P

When we had a meetup here in Miami we did not have to put money down for the reservation. The resturant was one of the ritziest in the city. If we have a large amount of people that are going to be paying money to eat at a resturant, the resturant will take the risk of people not showing up. Maybe not for all places but alot will. All im saying is this is the time to show off your city for the visiting TAs.

i am down for the meetup. i propose we meet at noon or 1, somewhere near where the parade will start.

Posted by Zharen on Sep-13-2004 23:38:

Hello!

I'm all down for a meetup. And I was going to suggest meeting at the Metreon since it would be one of the more easier places in SF to find. But I'd rather leave the final decision up to you guys. Either way I'm gonna go. Been wanting to meet some more TA's IRL. 80% sure I'll be bringing my cousin StylinN]-[TC with me as well. SO COME ON, LET'S PARTY!

i say we have Photo_bot decide

Posted by Photo_bot_2k1 on Sep-16-2004 04:14:

Well since everyone else suck and wont decide and I only know one place...
Lets all meet at noon in the front entrance of the Metreon (i think the entrance is on market).

Ill make a sign with TA on it or something then we'll go from there.

ok not a bad idea, it'll be easier for ppl to find the meetup if it's at metreon since they can ask for directions pretty easily and it's easy to spot once you're near it and i'm sure it's one of the more well known spots in SF

yea then after everyone's there, we can go somewhere else cuz metreon is pretty whack

how far is Gordon Birsch from Metreon?

Posted by fupaking on Sep-16-2004 08:58:

Gordon Biersch is at Harrison and Embarcadero, along the LP route.
Metreon is at 4th and Mission. Why meet at Metreon if you're going to go to GB right after? It's a bit of a walk....(about 1.2 miles)
