You obviously don't know any good hip-hop or rock artists. There are plenty.

I think it was more a protest at having a rap artist at a rock/indy event than individual artist displeasure, though I do believe that theyve had other rap headliners in previous years.

I agree. It probably wasn't the biggest move to have a hip-hop artist at a rock/punk festival. I still think it is kinda funny, though. I always love it when any hot-shit mainstream artist gets knocked on their ass in some way.

Man, why all the hate?

Then again, only on this forum, you'll have people who love progressive hate trance, and those who love hardstyle/hardcore basically say shitty things about everything else, and so on.

This is so true and describes the forum to a "T".

All of you people who trash hip hop saying it's shit and not music are a bunch of hippocrits and are probably the same people who'll go to blows when someone says EDM is made by some twat on a casio keyboard. I know it's hard to understand for some of you, but PEOPLE HAVE DIFFERING TASTES!!!! The fact that not everyone and their brother listens to your music actually makes the world a better more interesting place. When you start trashing other forms of music you're no better than that metal head or that rap fiend who trash the shit out of EDM that people always moan about on here. Bottom line is you can either give respect to get respect (occasionally) or you can sink to the level of the people you incessantly bitch about and make fun of. Oh, and by giving respect I don't mean liking the music I mean respecting the fact that they like that music no matter how horrible you "THINK" it is (and just because you think it doesn't make it so either).

P.S. - Also for all of you who pigeon-hole rap/hip-hop as being solely the music released by 50 cent then I'm sure you are the same ones who don't mind people taking everything Ian Van Dahl has released as representative of EDM.

sounds like 50cent played it cool.... and didnt seem to worried about it..

people were askign what he was doign there... obviously the promoter paid a a hefty amount to bring him, and 50 cent did his thing for 25 mins got his cash and left...

good on him.... i dont listen to rnb but people should show some respect to all artists or any genre.. grow up

Thumbs up

I condone it!!!!!

Now if it were a REAL MC like KRS-One, the crowd would have love it.

more on half dollar

50 Cent may face criminal charges related to the minor melee that broke out during his surprise performance in Springfield, Massachusetts, on Friday.

According to Springfield Police Captain William J. Noonan, charges have not been filed and the details of those charges have not been decided, but a representative for the district attorney in Hampden County told The Boston Herald that the rapper will face allegations of criminal conduct.

"We are trying to get statements from witnesses and victims to find out what happened," Noonan told MTV News.

50 Cent surprised the invite-only audience at Spring Jam, an event thrown by Hartford, Connecticut, radio station WZMX-FM, by taking the stage for an unscheduled performance at a Springfield nightclub last week. According to witnesses, moments after 50 began his performance, the rapper was hit in the head by a water bottle and leapt into the crowd after the fan, which led to a brawl near the front of the stage (see "50 Cent Performance Cut Short After Fan Throws Water At Him"). Three women were reportedly injured when 50 jumped into the crowd of 1,400; two were allegedly kicked in the head and face.

Two men were arrested following the show, according to the Springfield Police Department, and another fan who had reportedly been at the concert, 27-year-old Mark Terry of Hartford, was shot in the leg near the venue. Police are continuing their investigation of a link between the two incidents, according to Noonan.

50 Cent's management and label declined comment.

i agree.

even if ppl hate 50 cent, why the hell are these ppl even doing there if they know 50 is going to perform. If you dont like whats playing, get the fuck out of the area so people who like the performer can get through

Posted by DjCoz on Aug-31-2004 07:03:

Cool

I'm really surprised that he put up with it and tried to convince the crowd by saying we're all trying to have fun here or whatever, I remember some rock guy got bottles thrown at him and someone taped it, happened in South America and it was in the funny cool websites forum, he just flipped off the crowd and walked off, which is what I would've done minus the flipping off. If they don't wanna hear you, you leave, why would he try to keep going?
