Ok, well maybe some of us don't have a choice. I am 16 years old, only a month over 16, so I can't get my lisence for another 5 months, at the earliest. So even if there WERE raves around here, I couldn't get to them. BUT there's not even raves around here, because I live on Cape Cod, which is just a huge tourist place. The closest raves would be in Boston, and thats impossible. Even so, I'm still underage. So what the fuck else am I supposed to do? Am I not supposed to like dance music just because I can't go to raves yet? Even tho at my high school, I'm considered the only raver there, even though I don't really look like one, but everyone knows I'm a trance DJ, some are even like "Where do you go to raves, where do you buy your x" etc, I'm like "I don't know!!!"
Dumbass.
why do people on rap boards only talk about niggas and bitches and how to snort coke and shoot people , I don't get it , they know alot about rap but seem only to download music from the internet ..
wtf ... that didn't make sense did it ?
and this is why people think amin van shit is #1...

The point that hes trying to make is how come people trying making out they know so much about djs and the music when they dont even go to clubs i agree with him seeing a dj live is a completly experience to hearing the same set on a downloaded mp3. |

Ive seen him 3 times(which is more then most of the asot fans) 4-5 hour sets this year and he sucked. Most people left 2 hours into his sets because they were so boring. His mixing is to dull for me. Id say a good amount of ta's agree with my view so they must be elitists also? |

| Originally posted by SYSTEM-J I'm not basing it purely on that. I've seen countless posts where you've spouted elitist crap. Oh, other people think armin van shit (sic) is number 1 because it's their bloody opinion, not because they are all MP3 kids sat at home. That's why you're an elitist. |
haha lol so suxxy thread! ![]()
sandstorm gets so much abuse about his name its funny to read it every time he posts his opinion heh.
But yeah, some people have the good fortune to go to more parties than others, but just because a person hasn't been out as much doesnt mean that their opinion of what sounds good is more valid than others. I have to drive a loooong way to go see stuff so I don't have much experience seeing big DJ's live. I saw armin once at glow last november and it was the most amazing thing I've ever been to, I saw Tiesto at Nation this past June and the music was good but the crowd and the rain kinda ruined it a bit, but I still had fun. I saw PvD in charlotte last year and had a great time their, but got a bit too sloshed to remember much of the music, but I still remember it being a fun night. As far as big trance names that's all I've seen.
Does that mean I'm not allowed to say what I think about a set I hear over a broadcast from one of these people? I agree that DJ's shouldnt be judged overall unless you see them with a bit of regularity, but just because one doesn't get that oppurtunity doesn't mean their opinions on what sounds good are not valid.
I have been to a bunch of parties and seen a bunch of crazy things, and I imagine most of the others here have as well. It might look like were a bunch of music downloading dorks but that doesnt meant that we never leave our computers and go partying.
Yer definately not the first person to come here and say such things.
