If they choose something that is going to affect world security then I wouldn't expect anyone on earth to accept it however. It's like having Hitler up for president, even if the people wanted him as their leader, there is no way the world would let it happen because we know what would happen.[quote]

I dont think there will ever be anyone as bad as Hitler, well maybe Bush!!

[quote]What do you think the Iranian people would choose if they had a real choice? I have seen many pro democratic Iranian articles.

I tell you what they dont want, another government brought to them by U.s. . Dont forget that the current Islamic regime is another creation of the U.S. incase you didnt know, people will not let America control them nor to force them a government.

As far as what the Iraqi people really want, we will just have to wait and see next year. I'm sure we will have plenty to talk about when it happens.

Agree, untill then lets just wit and watch how many more people have to die beofore the Real election.

but right here, right now, you do not know what you are saying.

whether i go to Iraq or not, that fact still remains.

i want to believe that if you come to this forum and say something as important as this issue. right here, right now. you must at least have some knowledge about the free market. otherwise people that that do have a modicum of knowledge (most thinkers here) will destroy you.

thats not an insult. its just that you have proven us otherwise

As long there are confused and brainwashed Americans such as yourslef on this board I will continue my bashing.

1,000? I think Iraq is falling behind schedule. I would like to know the ratio between the Americans dead and the total number of deaths. Should be helpful.

Your denial of them being a terrorist force is an attempt to justify their existance and presence in Iraq. You can call them what you like, I know what an armed group enforcing their rule through the barrel of a gun on people who don't want it really is.

No. Nature abhors a vaccuum, as history has demonstrated time and time again. Look, Flotser is absolutely right. Criticize and villify the Bush administration all you want for starting this mess, but there's no room for half-ass measures once the decision was made. If you want to truly see the Iraqi people suffer than remove the US troops, enjoy the power struggles, and take bets as to which extremist faction garners enough support through coercsion to consolidate power. It'll add to the history books quite nicely.

True.

The way it is now, whether you like it or not, Iraq is under some kind of control, as ragged as it may be. If the American troops up and go at some point in the night, tere will be a power vacuum. Warlords will rise to takw power and it'll be a fight between militias. If that ahppens, the country will destabilize again and the deaths of those 1,000 troops (RIP) will have been in vain.
Afghanistan, before the Taliban came to power, was much like the way Iraq would be if it was left up to the warlords. A 24/7 battlefield where NO ONE cares about the people and EVERYONE is fighting for power. That's unacceptable.

And for those of you who say that it's great that 1,000 American troops are dead then shame on you. If you want to aim your anger at someone for this war then blame Bush and his administration, not the troops. They are fighting someone else's war, not their own. This is their job, they aren't out there on their own time. These are men and women the same age as many of the TA's. Don't hate them, that's wrong.
