its tiesto so everybody is complaining. What about ferry. He produced an album. Bringing out single after single. Remixes track after track. Mixes one album after another...nobody complains about that !

i complained about it, and i havnt bought anything from ferry since his trance nation days...

Posted by flavdave on Sep-08-2004 20:20:

First off let's get a source for this info. And if it turns out that these are all new productions or mixes that haven't been released before then why all the negativity?

when all you do is release an album with 90% same tracks as ur last one with the soul aim of rakign i nthe cash fro mal lthe gullable obsessed morons out their then yes, it is sick and wrong.

anyway who gives a fuck, the man's a joke.

Posted by Magistrate on Sep-08-2004 20:52:

i think YOU are a joke,
and you probably also think you are funny with all your stupid comments

Posted by AversusZ on Sep-08-2004 20:56:

just wait and see, after that you can start complaining

Posted by Elyksir on Sep-08-2004 21:19:

LOL... noone knows what's on the cd and they know it will be shit wake up, guys...

at the end of the day, u don't pay one million dolars for a CD, only 15. of course if u want to... it's not your loss anyway

so it's right to earn money just for living and not any extra? i think musicians deserve their money, cause they make us happy and make our lives full of joy. i don't care how tisto fill his pockets, loads of people do that.. i would fo that if i had a chance to do it.

Posted by Magistrate on Sep-08-2004 21:27:

right
and it's much better earning a million a day with spinning and producing music that some people on this site don't like and making your fans happy
than being the leader of a child prostitution network

Posted by InfiniteSquare on Sep-08-2004 21:37:

all the tiesto bashers can lick my _ _ _ _

tiesto is #1 and you have to live it for the rest of your depressing life

now, if you knew anything about marketing, it is quite clear that tiesto himself that decides to release an olypics album (or w/e the fuck this is), it's more likely his staff

Posted by idoru on Sep-08-2004 22:18:

Apparently this is from someone who went to the Magik Store. Correct me if I'm wrong, though.

Here's my two-cents...

A good portion of you hate Tisto. We know that. Yet when people try to have a legitimate discussion it always turns into a Goddamned flame-war. The same arguments come up in every topic that even remotely mentions him.

We know you think that every album and mix-CD he will release from now on is for the money.
We know you think he sold-out by producing Love Comes Again.
We know you think his mixing is shit.
We know you think his track selection sucks.
We know you think he stole Adagio without giving credit. (Yet you never bitch about William Orbit doing the same thing.)
We know you don't think he should be number one in a silly popularity contest.

We know all this. So (excuse me for being blunt) shut the fuck up already.

As far as this album goes, I'm really interested in it. Sounds like it'd be really nice.

Posted by Phortastic on Sep-08-2004 22:28:

all these flamers are SOOOOOOOO pathetic !!!!!!!
Flaming about an album you know SHIT about: you know the tracklist? you know if there are alot of previeus released tracks also on this cd? NO YOU FUCKING DONT.
So gimme a break whiners and go suck some serieus cock, losers!

Posted by Magicbas on Sep-08-2004 22:42:

Dispite the fact that Tijs Verwest indeed seems to be on the $$$ tour for quite some time now, you people should realize that he's one of the pioneers of "our" community...

Whatever he does (even if its $$$ related) is a step forward for the trance scene. Offcourse I understand that we dont want "our" music to be commercialized, I cant deny that his promoting is quite good for the scene.

He's still a very neat producer and offcourse a great remixer/dj. His tracklists and albums arnt as inventive as they used to be, but keep in mind that many people rarely listen to Trance. If they're out clubbing once in a while, they want to hear the more "popular" tunes aswell. That exactly what Tijs is doing!

Don't blame him for keeping the majority happy!

(offcourse this does affect our oppinions abt his most recent productions, yet he still creates a bigger community, which might in the end lead to a greater market for all you semi-amateur producers/dj's)

Just my 2 cents (I'd be happy to discuss this some more, in a friendly mannor)

why did some flamer post about the cd in new releases anyway? None of this would happen if he followed the forum rules.

I know for a fact that many of us started listening to trance the first time during the Forbidden Paradise & Magik series. It really hooked us up and made us addictive to trance!

I'm not saying he's still as much of an icon for me as he used to be, but he is the reason I started to like trance back in the days.

Posted by Tayfoon on Sep-08-2004 23:20:

This is a review of the album not the mans business nor the industry he is in

Posted by idoru on Sep-08-2004 23:26:

Sandstorm, I'm not trying to prove anybody wrong here. If you had read my whole post, I said to stop turning every thread about him into this. It's pointless. We know that's your opinion, and we understand that. It gets extremely boring and irritating trying to read through a thread about him only to see him bashed with the same shit every time.

Like Tayfoon said, this is about the album. Other topics are about those certain topics. Leave the Tijs-bashing to an Anti-Tijs thread and stop bringing "OMG TIESTO SUCKS HE SHOULDN'T BE NUMBER ONE HIS MIXING SUCKS HE STOLE ADAGIO" to every Godamned thread on planet Earth.

Posted by Magicbas on Sep-08-2004 23:26:

I know its supossed to be a review thread, but as its not yet released, there isnt much to review heh?
So we're just rambling a bit abt the man behind the upcoming release

Off topic: Tayfon- I got your avatar as a 60/40 poster !

Sure there is. There was plenty of talk about the Oakey's Creamfields mix-CD, and G&D's Bloom CD before they came out, so what makes this so different?

And I know someone will say "Well, we don't have a tracklist for this." Sure you do. The Olympic disc will come with his specially-made Olympic tunes (that the Olympic Committee asked him to produce, not that he said "Oh, I'm going to do all my own"), and the Pinkpop disc will most likely be a studio-recorded version of his set at Pinkpop. Both of those tracklists are available in the Tracklist section.

they shouldnt have been here before they were released on promo at least...

same with all these asot tunes that pop up here months before their release. then people wonder why they take soooo long for the release. This forum is supposed to be for what is out and what i can buy now...

music discussion is there for a reason...

no one here can even begin to review what is on the cd...

CD Reviews / New Releases Discussion

quote:
Its purpose is to discuss new vinyl or CD releases - not to comment on 'bad rips' or whatever.

Also, when commenting on a track or a CD type out the details properly (Artist/Track Name/CD Title/etc.).

Copying & Pasting the directory name of something on your hard drive isn't exactly easy to read.

Thanks.

I'm not seeing anywhere where it says "only stuff that just came out." If you have information about an upcoming release and would like to discuss the tracklist, then by all means, it belongs here. And I don't recall anybody mentioning in their respective topics that Bloom and Creamfields shouldn't be discussed because "they're not out yet."

Posted by idoru on Sep-08-2004 23:51:

Oh, and for those complaining about not seeing a tracklist...

Pinkpop

Now that you have the same information (minus a release date and a CD cover) that was posted for Bloom and Creamfields, you can discuss.
