i would be perfectly fine with that, IF you didnt run over the international community (UN) and invaded other countries.

Now you do and that makes your choice of leader almost more interesting for the rest of the world than for you.

If other countries shouldnt care about your leader, then why do you care about who is the leader in other countries (ex Saddam Hussain)?

actually on second though, i wouldnt. because i KNOW the issues apart from the war.

Apparently it's a majority of US voters who are the ones who don't know what the f*ck is going on. The following is an excerpt from a series of poll results on CNN :

quote:
And asked which man would better handle relations with other countries, Bush -- charged by his critics with alienating the world community through unilateralism -- beat his Democratic challenger by a 52 percent to 44 percent margin.

I don't think that anybody could handle relations with non-US countries worse than how we have witnessed Bush do it. Considering that anti-Bush demonstrations greet him wherever he goes, I'm totally surprised that the US voting public can be oblivious to this.

if by "handling relations", you mean "sucking dick" then by all means, our very own Mr. Kerry wins.

Kerry doesn't defend against the allegations posed against him, how the hell is he gonna fight for this country. What he did, if anything, back in the day does not qualify him as what counts is the present. And like I said, Kerry doesn't even defend himself these days, let alone give him the power to defend, lets say, a country.

well whenever I go to europe all they do is ask me about bush, his policies, if things are really as "bad" as they seem on tv and if he's really as dumb as he appears to be...

He's not perceived to be a good leader, and seems to think the world revolves around the USA and doesn't give a rats ass what the rest of the world leaders think.... anyways, i can understand that kerry is favored, but simply because they think anything is better than bush... and also because europe is very, very liberal... which bush and his party are obviously, not...

I know this has been said a million times before, but I'm going to give it one more shot: No foreign country is trying to attack the US! There's no one to "defend" against.
Relations to other countries *can* be non-military.

Posted by BadBadNeil on Sep-30-2004 13:50:

You have to know that there are probably thousands of people in this world at this moment trying to plan how to attack American interests and America itself. They may not be a formal country but they have to be located within some country's borders. If the country is willingly letting them operate out of their territory to attack our interests then that country can be viewed as a terrorist abiding nation. This is what happpened in Afghanistan. On the other end of the spectrum some countries actively fight against those who would harm our interests or global interests such as Pakistan and we have viewed them as an ally. No country should willingly allow people within their borders to attack a foreign country or turn their cheek when it happens.

Out of the 200+ countries on this planet America is friendly with the vast amount of them. I can only think of North Korea, Cuba, Iran, Syria, and Libya(until recently) having more hostile relations and a few others a more luke warm relationship. Because we are involved more globally than most other countries, it is more difficult to maintain relationships in every facet of this planet than a smaller country that may only have more direct relationships with its neighbors or those on its own continent.

Its official,
Brain washed Americans are retards.

Americans are the most loyal to their country but their country is fucking each of them up the ass with a 10 foot pole. If my Prime Minister was using my money to do everything but take care of me, i would not be chanting his name and re-electing him.

You have a president that only looks after private interest groups and doesnt give a shit about its citizens. People shouldnt die from mild ailments due to lack of health insurance. Oh wait a sec. Cheap "un-safe" drugs from Canada are prohibited because the special interest groups like to GET RICH OFF THE SICK AND DYING.

FOX News is propaganda.

We're not socialists!

Where in the Constitution does it say it is the role of government to be your babysitter?

Foolish.
You know you pay taxes, why not have decent infrastructure. Everytime i go to the states, its like im off-roading cuz the streets are so shitty. Fix the roads.

Do you not think there are better areas to spend trillions of dollars they waste.

Is it so bad to have affordable education. Why is education for the rich only.

The guvernment does not have to take care of you but they can spend your money wisely on things that benefit its citizens.

Sounds locale specific. Where do you visit? We have some of the best roads in the country where I'm from. That may be more of a state-by-state issue.

This is purely a subjective argument.

I'll pass on government funded education, thank you.

Again, this is a subjective issue that I'm sure everyone has a different opinion about. I'd prefer they spent all of the money filling my closets with gold bars and providing me with a staff of hot, disease-free hookers, but you don't hear me complaining!

This is going to be a bit off topic, but here it goes...

Do you guys seriously still have inheritance tax? The USA is the fore running market economy of the world and you still have it? Even semi-communist Sweden abolished it recently. How many percent of the fortune do you have to give up when someone dies?

Another question, lets say you sell some stock you made a profit of. Do you have to pay tax of the profit and if so, how much?

Im for a free market and all that, but I dont see how this argument can be justified. If there is no quality education without tuition fees, then education is a luxury that only the rich can afford. Is there no solidarity in you at all comrade?

Move to Holland and the goverment will provide the hookers

Posted by Zombie0915 on Oct-01-2004 15:16:

Dood help me find a job in Holland and get me permission to work/live there and I'll be on a plane sooooooooooo fast.

I can def understand the anit-bush sentiment, I think ppl in USA are still pro Bush because they think that Kerry won't do any better. Perhaps the thin USA knows that the other countries don't is that both candidates are bad, wheread other countries are thinking that Kerry will be better.
