Guys, stick to A&F & Kenneth Cole...classic stuff. All this loud, see through, tight shit is obnoxious. When my bf and I go to the mens department in Neiman Marcus, all the big named stuff (Versace, Gucci, etc) are stuff that I would wear, and thats scary. Some of the stuff is OK, like dress shirts that have cool designs, but most of it is disturbing.

A&F is out i think..i used to like thier stuff but they need to move on from that faded look..thier stuff is crap..my favourite stuff is armani..thier stuff is great..i have a georgio armani jeans that are so comfertable and dont rip easily and thier shirts are pretty cool(the non gayish ones), for tshirts and shoes i like diesel..and for some funkly stuff for clubbin custo barcelona and finally for the dressy stuff D&G...they r elegant and comfortable

@slylee...

i gotta agree. i see people talking about versace and shit...i don't think i've seen anything there that i would really wear. that's why i stick to my little preppy stores like banana republic hehe...nothing too flashy...just trying to look a little better than that guy

Black button up shirts with no logos.
A pair of decent dark jeans or slacks.
Shoes: Ecco

See what you can do...

Posted by Slylee on Sep-29-2004 16:30:

yea i like most diesle stuff for men...my bf wears a lot of that.

Posted by NiteMer on Sep-29-2004 16:33:

I like some Kenneth Cole, Polo, Express/Structure, and other similar simple brands. I like Dockers, Polo Chinos, and Calvin Klein khakis/pants. Nothing too extravagant, but not cheap shit either.

versace died when the founder gianni died...after his sis took over it has became horrible.

For the most part, I dress in American Eagle, Hollister (see A&F ripoff) and every once and awhile, I'll get a band shirt from Hot Topic.

Once I can drive I'll have access to nearby towns and I can get better stuff like Diesel.

be comfortable,
but not too much

Posted by mezzir on Sep-29-2004 18:56:

hell, you can usually get a good looking outfit wherever you go
salvation army has awesome stuff if you're willing to take a few minutes and look around
guy i met at a floor party the other day had some like button down light blue collared shirt with tiny barely noticable vertical white stripes, looked pretty pimp, with some other like logo t-shirt under it, and some nice khakis
all 3 together was like 17 bucks

Posted by nwopper on Sep-30-2004 17:40:

Let's see....

My shoes: cheap as hell
My pants: secondhand or cheap
My shirts: mostly cheap
My skirts: well, those are pretty expensive...(I like wearing skirts)
My jewelry and bags and stuff: made by friends, inharited by family

yea...I am a girl

Screw A&F

I'd recommend going with Banana republic is you want decent classic

Otherwise Neiman Marcus well ... I didn't even know they had a male section ... but I do know that paying 250$ for a Prada shirt is not my cup of tea!

If I had money I'd go Burbery all the way

I'm kidding

heck they don't even have an official men's line or do they?

Damn I need to stop my subscription to surface magazine ( mind you that's the only fashion/design magazine I get

Posted by Slylee on Sep-30-2004 18:35:

you guys, I was just using A&F as an example for casual stuff. I think nothing is sexier on a guy than some faded ripped (sort of baggy, but not too baggy) jeans and a pull over shirt. my boyfriend has a lot of A&F casual shorts just for throwing on, or even to wear to like the beach. but when we go out clubbing, hes a fashion whore..he likes spending $300 on gucci club dress shirts, and they look awesome. I like that stuff too.

GAY

NOT GAY

GAY

NOT GAY

I like this too, although I think they are a little too tight on himIm just talking about the actual clothes though

and I love these shirts on guysmy bf must have like 20 shirts of this nature...with those shorts too...i love those A&F shorts...

Posted by UWM on Sep-30-2004 18:39:

I think that first shirt is actually kind of cool except for the fact that it's moderately transparent.

See-through + guys = No!

Posted by jdat on Sep-30-2004 18:53:

Look at what I just got

Don't you hate it when people talk $hit behind your back? Print features a sad animal with "They have all been talking about you."

http://www.thegiantpeach.com/_cart2...hp?imageid=3442

lol looks like a kids shirt with some hip hop dissing added

Posted by Slylee on Sep-30-2004 18:58:

exactly. my bf bought this $300 versace, see through black club shirt that had like velvety patches in it..my god, it was WAY too much. hahaha i gave him so much shit about it, he returned it i think he realized it looked better on the hanger once he thought about it.

best part is, he actually wore it out clubbing, and we still returned it. a button came off which is bullshit, but it still smelled new because we put it in this plastic NM zipper bag that suits come in...so the smell from the bag (new smell) rubbed off on the shirt. haha they were just sketchy because it was a tad bit wrinkled. I gave them a bunch of crap about a button falling off a $300 shirt and how ridiculous that is. they let him exchange it

Posted by tranceaholic on Sep-30-2004 18:59:

yea i also like the first shirt...not a big fan of those A&F tshirts...i am not a big fan of the worn out style..it was fashoinable a while ago but not anymore..oh check out this site.. www.bluefly.com it has an excellent selection of clothes and pretty good deals too

Posted by NiteMer on Sep-30-2004 19:04:

I like simple, tight club shirts. One color usually. Either that or a button down, but I don't want it to be too flashy. I have a really cool long sleeve button down shirt. It's red, but has a black shimmer to it. Some black slacks and that shirt is pimp. I wore it at Space one night last WMC and noticed a lot of girls peepin'. Of course I did nothing, cause I was out of town and have no game under that scenario.

What?

Noooooooo!

Game multiplies by a large factor when you're out of town.

I always feel out of my element and I don't put forth any effort. I know it's messed up, but sometimes it fun to watch them eye you and do nothing. It probably pisses them off, but I don't really care. I was there for the music. I should have made some moves. A group of South American girls got really pissed at my friend and I. I heard one of them refer to us as gay. She must have been full of herself. Just cause I don't feel like talking to you, doesn't make me gay, just means I don't care.
