Sorry, but I recently stopped saying hello to new TA's. They all disappear once they're given a warm and friendly reception.

I think we should say fock it, make them battle it out like plebe's. That way they will be loyal and stick around after having to endure the initiation period. There are too many wusses in this forum, yet only the strong survive. It would be interesting to see the results of an NYTA roll call in two years time. We may even have a real mod by that time. Uhhh, nevermind, scratch that last part - that's just wishful thinking.

/tired rant

Has there really even been a need for a mod in the NYTA forum? Since I've been trolling/posting (2 years) I've never really noticed anything that needed modding.... the NYTAs are pretty respectful of eachother.

Mods from other boards must enjoy arbitrating us NYTA's. Preserve the status quo, yeeaaaah!

True, were not an unruly group, but it takes more than just the occasional thread or post deletion to be a mod. At least it's supposed to.

It's interesting to see how cronyism permeates even such open-minded forums like TrancEaddict.

Dude, that's not that bad in the grand scheme of things... could NYTA use a more active mod? Sure, but is it completely necessary... I don't think so.

On that premise, is NYTA really necessary? No, of course it's not - it's an indulgence. However, it is nice to have a forum outside of the Buzzlife board, or Glow's Groovanauts board (which are both very well moderated, btw.)

Wouldn't it be nice to have a moderator who positively CONTRIBUTED to and took pride in his/her community? All signs point to YES.

I'm sorry, but I just refuse to support the sloven mediocrity in which others seem to be so accustomed.

Thanks, bro.

I wouldn't call it a battle though - it's really just a conscientious objection.
