kerry beat bush badly.... but unfortunately... bush still has a very good chance of winning this election. both candidates are crappy... but kerry is the lesser evil.

Downsizing the government is not going to help the US. Trickle-down economics are not going to help the US. The rich getting richer is not going to help the US.

Get your head out of the sand.

How is being less reliant on the government going to help us? If people were left to their own devices, we'd have a Hobbsian war on our hands! And being less reliant on the government will, eventually, lead to the downsizing of government which has always been a central tenant of the conservative party.

I have worked for/with Senator's, Congressmen, Lobbyiest, the gov't in general for years now.. I know whats what, etc.

I'm sick of the propaganda voters -people who believe the few things that they see on TV, mag's whatever without doing research - especially if they feel strongly about it -- and then vote on someone else's opinion rather than fact!

MAY I POINT OUT - CNN PUBLICALLY LAUGHED @ KERRY FOR HIS BUDGET IDEA'S CUZ THEY WOULD PUT US FURTHER IN THE WHOLE THAN BUSH ---

Washington post wrote an article on Kerry's view points, he's all talk but thats it, he keeps saying one thing then when he see's it isnt' working for him, he changes his mind and says something else and people arent paying attention to even notice! -- btw Washington Post is a more libral newspaper (aka. favor's the democratic view)

don't listen to all the talk, do some research and the math yourself!!

I find it rather amusing that you're telling me to do my own homework and math when all you do in this post is cite news sources. Maybe I ought to tell you to do your own math?
I have done my own math. It is my belief that with Kerry as president, our foreign policy will no be abysmal. The No Child Left Behind Act will no longer be a constant drain on our economy. Bush is also cutting money to social security and to welfare. If taxes have to be raised to get the country out of the 7.9 TRILLION dollar deficit we're in, then so be it. Clinton did it in his terms and he left office with a 200+ Billion dollar budget surplus. I've tried to be fair, but I cannot think of any positive things Bush has done while the incumbent except for invading Afghanistan.

Yeah Josy is great that all you heard was from a Rebuplicans side

Oh please, you republicans can only continue your beliefs when you actively ignore vast amounts of facts. Your entire argument for Bush basically stands on the belief that "he's doing the right thing for America, and he's resolute for America".

Guess what? "Strong but wrong" is still wrong! To support Bush you basically have to ingnore the reality of Iraq, the reality of Bush's tax cuts, the reality of his medicare reforms, and the reality of what's going on in the world.

George Bush is a politician. He's not some cowboy, he's not some born-leader, he's just a politician. And the fact of the matter is, John Kerry is a better politican. He has a better plan for Iraq, he has a better plan for global terrorism, and he has a better plan for the economy. Open your eyes, swallow your pride (if that's whats holding you back) and face the facts. George Bush has been wrong so many times these past 4 years that it is unacceptable to allow him to continue.

You want strong but wrong: go ahead and vote for Bush.
Want strong and right? Do the right thing, and vote for Kerry.

=/......... bush really has not done anything good at all. if you listen to his speeches, he really talks about the most useless things. his foreign policy is completly absurd. in the debate he kept on saying that he had to disarm iraq.... when they were never actually armed. i honestly can't believe so many americans are afraid of the outside world and other nations. they talk about beheadings and stuff like that. ok... if u wanna look at it that way, AMERICA is the biggest terrorist group EVER! we go into iraq and kill over 10,000 INNOCENT civilians. when we lose 2 to beheadings, we moan and cry about it. ok.. i guess thats inhumane, but is it honestly that much better to drop bombs and napalms on people and burn them to death?

oh.. and on the topic of kerry, i also think it is VERY good that people admit when they're wrong, make a mistake and change their mind and their policy. its not about being "consistent" or "steadfast". its about doing whats right. we americans have NO right to be in iraq. NONE. they never attacked us, no weapons of mass destruction were found. ok lets say saddam was really killing his own people and stuff like that, its not up to america to step in alone to stop him. its up to the UN, nato, whatever.. any of those international organizations. its quite obvious we didn't have support. no countries supported us at all. there were marches and demonstrations all aroudn the world in germany, france, even in asia. bush was saying, "oh, don't forget poland, they were our allies". poland sent about 50 troops. so did south korea.... and half of the other allies. that just shows straight up that they only did that to show support for the american people, not to show support for bush's plan and idea. aite.. i'm gonna stop because... no matter what i say, people are still gonna think what they want. i think bush is still probably gonna win the election, and in doing so, we will see another 4 years of decline in our economy, our foreign relations, and our status as a world power.

I totally agree...can any1 tell me how many general topics they talked about in the debate....cuz all i could hear was WAR WAR WAR. There are other aspects to running a fucken country u know...i only tuned in for the last hour...and it was all about the terrorists...wat was the other half of the debate about?

BTW...this country was started on debt...we are always going to be in the whole...its a matter of who uses this debt better...nobody gets rich on thier own money...the same goes for countries as well...

FCUK BUSH

Its well known that you can't be a Republican and like Underground music... Oh wait ya'll like Trance anyways... nevermind... lol

Just messin'. Bush lost the debate but Kerry didn't cream him. Which is unfortunate b/c Kerry is going to need to cream Bush in a debate to have a chance at winning this thing.

Newsweek showed Bush leading by 11 points in its poll after the RNC.

It's newest poll released today, taken after the debate:
Kerry: 47
Bush: 45

There's no reason to assume Bush is just gonna win anymore

(The next debate is the town-hall style debate, the one which the Bush camp had the most objections to)

I predict another Kerry debate victory

Kerry SHOULD win the debates. He was/is a champion debater. Bush isn't. Clearly Kerry is going to know how to present himself better under those circumstances. The elections are a toss-up because the polls aren't accurate, and can't be. Such is life.
