Hard Trance
Acosta and Cosmic Gate got me into it, Scot Project, Kai Tracid, ASYS,DJ Wag and I ve always liked Dumonde.
Not into Hardstyle though.
Trance people here in South Florida pretty much only like Markus Schultz kinda prog and AVB kinda prog/epic trance style.
Acosta is playing some hard trance at a club now so thats a relief.

well you might be somewhat correct, but i dont think that *not* having +150bpm and bass louder than any other element makes anything else 'chill'.

labelling shit causes confusion and i tend to like music that touches all elements. for example: liking techno cause it sounds nothing like trance and for that very reason is stupid.

some techno is crap, just like trance, house, hip hop, rock and prog. being a genre elitist only paints you into a corner|

Very well put.

If I might say...

Hardstyle scares me. It makes me clench my butt cheeks for fear of auditory anal rape!

Maybe I'm just a hardstyle-homophobe though.

I don't know if you've listened to a lot of hardstyle but there are lot of great hardstyle tunes out there that keep the same elements as hard trance but have those harder kick's and bass that I love.

bTw forgot to mention Klasic & Sanders, Trance Generators & Yoji Biomehanika

I don't know what you have against Technoboy but Klasic & Sanders are deffinately in my top ten. Being that I am and always will be a trance addict my hardstyle must of a trance sound to it.

depends on who is producing, technoboy is out of style and so are most of them , but once in a while you get good productions i would say like 20 out of 100 vinyls that come out have good hardstyle traxx!!!!

I'll have to agree with you on the lack of good hardstyle tracks. I usually listen to about thirty tracks before I find a good one.

that is very true....but for me personally its kind of hard to find quality hardstyle songs. A lot of them just have stupid kicks and shit that i dont like...but then theres wicked wicked hardstyle that makes me go nuts

Hard trance is my fav genre but italian hardstyle rocks. Try to check Daniele Mondello @ Qlimax 11/2003 ...

Dj Scot Project are king of Hardtrance: Dj Scot Rulez

Flutlicht, SHOKK, Cosmic Gate, Mass in Orbit and Dj Wag are very good acts but Dj Scot is GOD ...

Phil Reynolds, Guyver, BK and Lee Haslam do some blinding hard trance, as well as all the usual suspects who've already been mentioned.
