I just found out that grady little was the guest manager for the twins that inning

Posted by Highmay on Oct-07-2004 03:53:

wow...what a game...

Posted by pvd420 on Oct-07-2004 04:09:

it's like there is some unwritten rule that managers should make stupid decisions like that when playing the yankees...

Posted by Mebot on Oct-07-2004 04:50:

Damn, the yankees won

good game though, all the way to the 12th inning.

Posted by partyhopper on Oct-07-2004 05:35:

Good game in Anaheim as well
3 strikeouts in the 8th inning by 3 different Sox relievers!

Lets go Yankees!!!

On the radio today, Michael Kay had an interesting question for Yankee fans. If you KNEW that the Red Sox would beat the Yankees in the Championship Series for a fact and go onto the WS... would you rather the Yankees lose to the Twins and not even make it, or just go on and lose to the Red Sox in the CS? He said he'd rather lose to the Twins. I thought it was pretty interesting...

i think thats a pretty stupid question by michael kay.. i mean, if you already KNOW for a FACT that the Yankees are going to lose to the Redsox in the ALCS, why even bother playing ?? lol..

Posted by Highmay on Oct-07-2004 20:15:

fuck that...i'd rather see them earn it and beat the yankees..

Posted by dj tek on Oct-07-2004 20:20:

if redsox beat the yankees in the alcs, then i would want them to win the WS. so in that case, we lost to the champions, the best in baseball not the 2nd best.

i think michael kay is the biggest yankee c***s***** in the world... it's amazing he can yell like crazy with something that big in his mouth.

if the red sox are to win it, they should earn it... but the twins wouldn't be rolling over for the sox either if they meet in the LCS.

Yeah, but you know what all the Yankees fans would be saying....

I agree with you about Kay and the Yankee loving, but he is a pretty smart guy and I enjoy his show when he's NOT talking about the Yankees or the Red Sox because his bias is just too great. He went on once for an hour about how the Red Sox are a disgrace to baseball because they have long hair and big uniforms. I wanted to punch him. Other than that though, he has a good show.

I don't know who is more annoying...Michael Kay (arguably one of the most annoying sportscasters), John Sterling (His "The Yankeeees Win" signature statemnt has gotten old), or Suzyn Waldman (to say she is biased is an understatement)

I really miss the days of Mel Allen and Phil "Holy Cow" Rizzuto

Posted by partyhopper on Oct-07-2004 23:10:

I dunno if anyone here cares about Astros vs. Braves
Anyways, interesting that the Braves' closer (Smoltz) was 90 feet away from scoring the winning run!

Posted by verndogs on Oct-07-2004 23:31:

I care about all the series

I hope the Astros win...I can't stand hearing the tomahawk chop

Posted by partyhopper on Oct-07-2004 23:42:

another walk-off extra innings win!
Braves win with a home run in the bottom of the 11th!
Series tied 1-1

dammit furcal. miceli gave him a hangin slider

I know I am a Mets fan and shouldn't be saying this, but GO BRAVES!

And John Sterling is so annoying. So is Suzyn Waldman. I hate them both so much more than I hate Kay. I used to despise him, but after listening to the radio show, I don't mind him as much. On Waldman, there was once a game where the other teams pitcher pitched ridiculously good. Someone said to her, "How bout 'so and so's game tonight?" She said "Who cares about him, it was all about Ted Lilly tonight!" I wanted to shit right on her face. She also think Derek Jeter is the greatest SS in the entire world. Ever.

Anyone really despise Rosanna Scotto on FOX 5 News? Anytime she talks about the Yankees I want to throw a brick at her.

3 home runs by the Dodgers in the first 4 innings, including 2 back-to-back!
Too bad they haven't done it with anyone on base.

They took out Marquis already. Dodgers better win this one. I am begining to despise the Cardinals. I like their players, but I hate the team and whatnot. Mostly it's their fans. I hate curtain calls. In Game 1, after every homer, the player got a curtain call. That is so ridiculous. If I were a player, fans would hate me because I would refuse to come out unless I did something that truly merited it. Curtain calls are becoming so overused...

Posted by verndogs on Oct-08-2004 03:22:

They're just a lil obsessed about the redbirds out there...just a lil

Posted by partyhopper on Oct-08-2004 03:24:
