Don't feel too depressed by a fight with yer gf...it's common in good relationships, as long as it doesn't occure too often

I understand your feeling atm tho...never a nice feeling when you're yelling at one another :S

Anyway, just chill down, put on some good tunes and forget the sorrows of life for just a few minutes!

couldnt resist, made a big 'vent' topic in the chillout board

but yea, the tunes help,im listening to some mark farina mushroom acid jazz.

to make a ( very ) long story, short:

i listen to nice tunes and feel better, but i when i feel fucked i cant mix myself because i cant concentrate enough. there ya go.

Weird, but I really hate that feeling too. No one I know shares this emotion. It just gives me a feeling like, ah fuck I can't explain. Kinda off topic.

Anywho, I mix best after the nice feel good buzz of alchohol, and strangly, I took some painkillers and I was mixing really solid. Being happy makes me mix well too.

if your not a noob you should be able to beatmatch regardless of how you are feeling.

not hard at all.

yeah seriously.. i also get a bit depressed when i'm awake to see the sun rise. it's a peculiar feeling knowing everyone is sleeping and you're still awake. kinda makes me feel like i'm missing out on something.

right after sex. hands down my best sets... and just play it loud enough so she leaves. heh

yup. i'm at my best on the tables after sex. usually not right after cuz you know girls have to freaking cuddle afterwards. what the hell man, i'm a busy guy.. y'know? but i just feel utterly satisfied after sex, which ultimately leads to better mixing.

i dont have a problem with the sun coming up PER SE. Its often the first thing i see ( in summertime ) when coming out of a club, or while driving home. And i dont like it, gives me the feeling that often a great night has gone over so quikly.

I dont have a problem with it when im just at home or sumthing.
What i do have a problem with coming outta bed late. Like today, its 13:15 here. im awake for bout half a hour, this sucks! I feel like i fuckin missed half my day.

I just mix better when I'm in the mood for mixing, whether that's when I'm happy or not. But usually I'm happy at the time.

If I'm feeling sad I don't really mix well for the first few tunes then I'm on fire for the rest of the set, it's probably just the rush the tunes give me that cheers me up.

I can so totally relate to the "sun coming up and spoiling your mood" thingy.

I just get totally pissed off when i see sunlight starting to creep through my blinds. Maybe its coz I can't sleep when its bright, and I love my sleep.. and thats why I get pissed off, but well yeah.. my whole mood just drops completely. Same thing goes for when I walk out of a club into the sunlight. I just feel drained. And over here we get about 12 hours of sunlight daily the whole year round so that's quite sucky. I'm happiest when its around 7pm and the sun starts to set.. then I know I've got the night ahead to look forward to.

In regards to the topic, I mix best when I'm in high spirits. It doesn't have to be dope induced but yeah when I feel good, happy or excited, thats when I come up with my best sets.

Not under the influence... Usually after a break of a day or two or when I've just got some new tracks. I tend to get burnt out after about a week if I mix every day. I usually need a day or two off to get my taste for it back... and then whammo... his those decks and just completely nail every mix.

Under the influence... The morning after I have a pill and am still feeling a bit floaty, but not really all that impared. I dont even have to analyse the beats. It takes me about 5-10 second to beatmatch most tracks. Its like all the layers of thought are stripped away and your just at one with the beat. Just so relaxed and the music sounds so good.
