That car looks well mint lol
How anyone could think this is rice is beyond my imagination..
This is definitely one of the most sexy cars I have seen this year.. I love British design work.. Too bad of the sloppy gearing engineering though..
But hey, you can't see that on a picture, and that's as close as I'll get to one of these babies for a looong while I guess.

that is one of the most amazing looking cars on the road...if you can ever find one! i'm not too impressed with the interior though.

The Aston Martin Vanquish is not designed to be super fast in the sense of acceleration. It is a Grand Tourer car...that is, its is perfectly capable of silly speeds (circa 200mph) but at the same time, will do it with a a lot of luxury and refinement. Remember that it is a fucking heavy, at around 1700+ KG! It is more than capable of having a faster 0-60, but this car is not all about that.
The M5 is like the vanquish, but on a lesser scale. It is a quality saloon car, but with a kickass engine to kick it up the road.
Speedwise, there are plenty of cars that will outperform this vanquisg, for a smaller price. But you need to appreciate the niche of which each and every car belongs.
FFS, there was an article in CAR magazine in the UK with the most specialised Mitsubishi EVO VIII against a PAgani Zonda. This car is a factory car, with lots of tuning done to the engine (HKS conrods, internals etc) and has approx 420 BHP. It does the 0-60 and 0-100 faster than the Zonda and handles better too. With results like this, you can see idiot kids on the supercar.net forums go
"OMFGz0r!!! Mitsubishi pwns Zonda!!!!"
Yet i'm pretty sure that, given the choice, they would take the Zonda. The niche that the Zonda occupies could never be shared with the Evo, even with those performance figures.
The Vanquish S will cost around 160,000 GBP, approximately the same price as a Murcielago. It will appeal to those who want a luxurious car that has a lot of performance, yet can be comfortably driven around town. Aston's, it could be argued, are regarded as more classy as the italian bred supercars, with a more cultured heritage and feel about them.
So for all the people arguing in this thread, admire the Aston for what it is. It may not be the fastest car you can get for the money. It might not be, in your opinion, be the best car you can get for your money. But remember, an Aston Martin, is still an Aston Martin, and to hear or see that name, should cause you to respect it.

i'm sorry but when it comes to sexy luxury sports cars the Maserati Coupe GT wins

you should be sorry, because that car doesnt even hold a candle to the Vanquish

hate to piss in your cheerios bud, but the Maserati just doesnt hold a candle to the Vanquish. Face it, Honda Prelude Tailights, too short a wheelbase, and oversided fenderwells dont make for a very appealing car.

I like the dash...
=M= and Siang, you are both correct in the sense that you cannot compare these cars to each other as they are in different classes, the Maserati being a Sports Coupe, and the Aston being a Grand Tourer
