sasha gets my vote...the mans a pioneer

Being new to the scene and knowing what the Sasha crowd is likely to be like (and its at the Metro) I am thinking I will go to QBH and see the Tidy Boys and a host of other good local DJ's.

Don't get me wrong, Sasha interests me as everyone says he is amazing and plays blow-your-mind sets but I think I will have a better dance at QBH.

Can someone record Sasha?

Thanks!

LoL

Posted by Renegade on Oct-11-2004 10:20:

It's gotta be Sasha. He wasn't that great last time he came out here (though QBH's ordinary sound-system must take some of the blame for that) so expecting a massive one from him this time around. And based on what I've heard from him so far this year, I think that's exactly what we're gonna get.

There was only a limited time when I liked what Gielen had to offer (Circa, ITWT 004... 98? 99?...Bah...)

My tastes have moved on and yet Sasha's works have always delighted my interest since as far back as I can remember.

For me, no question, Sasha.

There. Heh... I made a reasonable post comparing the two... Aww...

No, unfortunately. They got broken when I dumped a large stack of text-books on them.

Besides, sunglasses in clubs are soooo 2002...

Johan Gielen

It was in his Belgian homeland that a young Johan Gielen first spread his now mighty wings as a seventeen year old DJ novice. He has come a long way since those days and now soars with the greats as part of the Dutch ID&T family. His seemless blend of burly tech trance fused with uplifting and hard trance elements has assures his meteoric rise through the ranks, resulting in this year being voted into position 24 in DJ Mags top 100 list! .

Besides DJ'ing Johan is a very successful trance producer in his own right working as half of production team Svenson & Gielen. Johan and Svenson are behind European smash hit's from Airscape as well as Blood Is Pumpin and The Beauty Of Silence. Furthermore they are well known for their remixing skills which can be heard on productions by the likes of Chicane, Delirium, Tisto, Boy George plus many more. The Dutch dynamo finally makes his way deep down under for his first Australian performance!

Lee Haslam

Though Tidy are more readily associated with hard house through their main Tidy Trax imprint, Label Manager Lee Haslam ensures there is another dimension to the Tidy phenomenon. Surprisingly for some, given his position within one of biggest Hard House labels in the world, Haslam is actually a hard trance DJ and has learnt his mesmerising skills from some of the best DJ's and producers on the circuit. He was rewarded for his dedication to the scene at the Hard Dance Awards 2003 by winning Best Resident.

With the launch of Tidys third label Tidy Two in 2003, Tidy now have a dedicated forum for hard-edged anthemic trance and Haslam has the perfect outlet for his talents. One of the label's biggest releases to date was Lee's very own Music is the Drug. The energy and elevation he generates through his seamless mixing and vibrant personality, rocks dance floors the world over and his reputation has grown at an impressive rate.

Dont miss the first official Tidy event this Cup Eve at QBH.

Tidy Bring music for the harder generation to Australian shores!

Line up: Johan Gielen, Tidy Boys, Lee Haslam, Scott Alert, Hellraiser, Richie Braic, Ben Kakoschke, Master Kaos, Compound, Ajax, St Luke, Klasic, Papa Smurf, Steve Strangis, Julian Reynolds, Chris Pana

How can anyone miss this lineup!! Its going to be insane...!!!!

Also im selling tickets for this even if anyone needs some...

pm me for details...

I think the answer here is clear... JohanFuckinGielen!

Posted by Aesthetic on Oct-21-2004 00:19:

no contest at all.. no disrespect to gielen, but sasha takes music to a whole new level, to art.. ie. belfunk. that's just created with the most delicate touch.. kinda like a painting.
