no i hear you, i'm used to the 6 hours too... but it IS NYE, and he's always been on the west coast the last couple years .... and it IS PVD...

anyone have any idea of tix prices ?

It's so expensive because PVD is getting $100k+ for his NYE performance from Godskitchen/Spundae and Playstation 2.

It is quite an accomplishment to have both PVD and Tiesto play NYE stateside for the same promoter.....and there is a definitive price tag that goes along with that luxury.

Wasn't oakenfold 80 ish last year? Its defiantely wont be higher then what avalon charged. This year avalon is $40

you guys are all either really young or just stupid.

when you get older like well into your 20's 100 bucks is a typical night at a fucking local party center and the party stops at like 1 or maybe 2 if everyone hasnt already left. you might get some drinks and shitty food but NYE shit is always expensive.
miami at clubs you are talking up to 1500 dollars for a table at a club

100 bucks to ring in the new years aint shit, plus im sure there will be other sweet dj's along with them and the party will be all night

Paul is gonna be spinning from 12 til close probably - so there wont be much of any other DJ's happening.

On the other hand, I dont mind shelling out $200 bucks on a table if other people join in. I dont wanna get stuck in Ikon on a massively over packed dancefloor.

If I could go to one of these events, it'd def. be PvD in NY. I haven't been in NY since '98...

I'm torn b/w going to Montreal for NYE and staying in NYC for Ikon or Avalon... cause I'm prolly going skiing around January 5 near Montreal again, and it's kinda retarded to go there and then come back 2 days later, but I can't stay there in between. Then again, Ikon might be a good party because A) I'll be FUCKED and B) I'll be with friends and C) There will be a lot of people... anyway, in either place I'll be FUCKED so it prolly will hardly make a difference!
