I agree. The dancefloor here is bigger than Space in Miami. And you can dance just about anywhere in the club since there is so much room throughout. The sound is awesome and the DJ Booth is in the fron right corner. Plenty of places to relax as well as dance. Awesome venue.

After party just a few minutes away in Fort Mill, South Carolina. SC serves beer and wine til 6am during the week (no hard liquor or mixed drinks).

Fort Mill is the first town next to Charlotte but in SC. The after party is just barely on the SC side. Fort Mill is of course considered part of the Charlotte Metro area. If you know where Carowinds is, that is considered Fort Mill.

If you are coming up 77, you will go right through Fort Mill. If you are coming up 85 (either way will get you to Velocity), you will not go through Fort Mill.

And Velocity usually stays open until 4am, maybe slightly afterwards. I don't think they've ever stayed open until 6am. And alcohol sales stop at 2am in NC.

yeh ft mill (the afterparty venue) is like a 20 min drive from velocity going on I-77 south. Not too bad concidering you dont have to go through many stoplights and stuff

the afterparty should be off the hook..The Patio in Ft Mill...77 South to Carowinds BVLD...left at the light...2 lights to Hwy 51 the left....comes out right at it...

Charlotte came ready to party, I can say that much. Liquified deserves a HUGE pat on the back for this show. This was the first time I had been to Veloctiy and I definitely hope it won't be the last. The opening DJ had the place rockin' up until 1 when Tiesto came on. This is the 4th time I had seen Tiesto and it was the best! I haven't seen a DJ get this much love in quite some time. I remember getting up on the stage at the point that Tiesto came on and looked out on the massive crowd - unbelievable! Velocity is the perfect venue for a DJ of this caliber. If I had to guess, I'd say that there were upwards of 2500+ people there. I'm not sure of the actual capacity of the club (someone please fill me in on this if they know), but it seemed that there were far more people there than I'd ever seen at any Eleven 50 show. Tiesto kept the crowd going non stop until 4. I bellieved that Velocity stopped serving alcohol around 2am, but it didn't seem like that stopped anyone from sticking around.

I couldn't ID about the first 45 minutes worth of tunes, but here are some that I could remember (in no sepcific order):

glad you enjoyed yourself. NC state law says no alcohol after 2 but at least the club can stay open late.I wouldnt say there were 2500+ there. I would guess 1200 i could be wrong though. What i love about the club is the huge main dancefloor where everyone can see the dj. It was a fun night and an amaizing crowd

Glad you had a good time from ATL. Capacity of the venue is about 12-1500 and it is a sick club. This was actually my 7th or 8th time seeing Tiesto and it was the best for me as well. Scott Modie fucking rippied it up before Tiesto. I am so glad I only had to drice 5 miles for this one. Dream Beamz, you did a good job with the lasers and the VJ held it down as well. I id'd most of those songs as well, but the first 45 minutes I didn't recognize either. Probably some new cd-r's in there as dj's usua;;y do in smaller venues early in their tour. I went fucking crazy when he played Lethal Industry.

For a city known as hating trance, we showed up in full force. Good job everyone.
