| Czech absinthe, according to most absinthe reviews, tastes like alcohol-drenched mouthwash and one may even see leaves of plants floating at the bottom of the bottle. Forget about the other so-called French absinthes (made with mugwort, not wormwood). Most of the other advertised European absinthes (like the Danish) either have negligible thujone or other chemical components meant to deceive the senses |

Tried it on Friday, didn't do crap.
Apparently the stuff you find in the EU is not hard enough to make you hallucinate anymore. I think my friend got it from France.
Anyway, my friend told me that if you want the harder stuff, you can find it in eastern Europe, where it's legal.
Don't know if this is true though, I only know it didn't do crap to me...
Absinthe won't make you "hallucinate" per se. It's more of a visual and audible stimulation. It's conducive to conversation, writing, etc.

i tried it this weekend.... dont remember much of it since iwas so fucked up but i was mostly sober before i took it... took it and some other shit and BHAM!
i tried it in Prague this summer .. looks like mouthwash .. tastes worse
Personally, it is one of my favorite drinks. If you get a good bottle, and mix it well, it is very tasty (assuming u like the taste of anis). As for it's effect, it is different from regular alcohol, but not as halluceganic as other drugs might be. For a nice regular dose, 2 or 3 shots for the night, and you will be fine
