'Prog' and 'Progressive' are just easier to say/write, I guess - we all know whatcha mean

i think not. and its probably the reason they don't display how many members they do have, as well as adding 'probably' to the front of 'the best trance community on the net'.

TA may have 39.385 members, but are they all active? i really doubt it, maybe 30% is active or less.

Who cares what ppl call it? I just can't believe it when ppl have these power-freak orientations and want to call themselves music-lovers.

By the way,... I've been in this genre since everything was hyphenated ("techno-trance", etc) and I don't give a rat's *** what labels people want 2 use to describe their favorite sounds. But some of the new names are snobby/obnoxious... "'dirty house'?....'progressive house'- isn't it ALL progressive?)...pleeeeeaaase.

Trance can be thought of as more then a genre. Trance is a state of mind, where you are free of inhibitions, thats what this site has always been about. Deep House can be entrancing, so can Trip Hop, anything that puts you in a surreal state of mind, can be classified as trance. That's why the site name will never change... plus domains can get pricey. :P
