True, they belong to the borderline of cheese. Im fine with it if they do not/won't have any new prod. They were good last time... well, that's the time when I was quite a n00b.
S&D stuffs are catchy, theyre pretty good to reco to newbies.

Twisted is so bad it isn't worth the name.

Airscape - Sosei (Johan Gielen Remix) <-

But yeah, I liked the old Airscape better.

Their mix of Tiesto - Lethal Industry is good, partly because it doesn't have their usual cheesy synths, it's just good and driving, makes up for the poor original and other remixes, it's got to be one of my most played records.

And After All is a decent tune

I don't miss them though, their good productions were far and few.

I like them
they are sometimes a bit cheesy, but that doesn't annoy me. its nice to hear their tunes

I'll hate to break it to you but they broke up.

Posted by itsTrueSonic on Oct-27-2004 15:42:

we will always hope for them to come back together, like we hope john digweed and sasha to make a comeback together.

they had some good times together, especially their album "the beauty of silence".

it was fun while it lasted. now we will see who will have a better career off by themselves. either johan or svenson.

i think Gielen's latest remix is the new one from Reeloop

Johan is actually starting to get a bit of notice in the US. His US gigs are now picking up and when he come to Los Angeles for the first time in June, he packed the club (Spundae @ Circus) and well, he blew everyone away.

I went in expecting a somewhat average set and came out a believer. And everyone has been asking for him to come back since.

He's heading for San Francisco for the first time in mid-November and is back in Los Angeles in December.

Dave

The nauseating, high-pitched trumpet synth that kicks in during the first break.

Svenson & Gielen - We Know What You Did

i fucking love that track

Posted by OurManFlint on Oct-28-2004 00:23:

They did remix a couple cheese tracks sometimes

Posted by aloep on Oct-28-2004 00:50:

I liked "Amazon Chant" and "Pacific Melody" but by as early as late 2000, I started to tire of them. Their remixes of Dario G - Dream To Me, Sylver - Turn The Tide, RMB - Deep Down Below and Delerium - Silence in that time period all followed exactly the same basic structure and used the same synth, one which I disliked very much and they continued to use this through 2001 and 2002. Haven't listened to anything from them since then.
