Passed my theory first time with full marks.

Failed my test 3 times, passed on my fourth!

Took me just over 6 months overall!

Passed theory first time.

Not done my practical yet, but I might be booking it soon...

To be honest I'd rather pass first time, considering how much it costs to take the test

I think most people would rather pass first time!

how much does it cost now for theory and practical. Think i paid 21 for my theory and about 37 for the practical

Urban Legend Driving test people have a limited quota of how many they can pass per month. So if you get your test and they have passed loads, your up a gum tree with out a paddle. Can anyone shed any light on this.

clearly that is just a myth/legend .. i mean what if you drive perfectly .. is the exam to try and nit-pick to find the smallest of faults to fail you on .. especially as he'd have to find 15 of them ..

Here's another 1 for you though .. supposedly you are more likely to pass on a certain day .. think it was friday forgot who told me though .. but rather to do with the fact that the examiner has been through the week passed some failed some .. be in a better mood due to weekend etc and might want to keep pass levels at a certain level if hes failed some others ..

my old driving instructor recalled how one of his pupils had driven the perfect test, no errors whatsoever, up until the final reverse park in the test centre. the examiner failed her for not looking into her rear window enough times. apparently 3 times isn't enough, it should have been 4. if that isn't nit-picking...

that was exactly the same as me in my third test,
drove perfectly up until the last fucking minute when i did the reverse park into a parking bay. and a motorbike came into the carpark. nowhere near me at all but just because he didn't see me look at the motorbike, big fucking fail. stupid

i heard that too, quite feasable really. In your test your gonna be concentrating so hard, that the examiner could mark ou down for minors that dont happen, are you going to realise if he puts you down for going too close to the parked, probably not as he wont say anything.

this quota on how many u can pass is rubbish. every driving instructor ive asked it to has said its rubbish, and if it was true, it wouldnt take long before one examinor leaked it to the press and they ran a story and there was an outcry on it.

I was told that you didn't need to revise for the theory, so i got 29. Did some swatting up on the second attempt and passed. Practical took me two attepts as well, 1st time round I got two D's for dangerous driving

Posted by Yella Fella on Oct-31-2004 21:25:

lol fraz man...

3rd time for me but it should be 2nd...

on 1st time, i failed everything on the roundabout

1) approaching round about too slow
2) going on the round about too slow
3) indicating too slow
4) moving on to another lane too slow
5) coming off the round about too slow

WTF!!

2nd time, i failed cos i didnt apply my handbrake at a T junction, then took another test 3 days later and i put hand brake on at every junction, then passed
