Apparently, he's blown up quite large in Eastern Europe, which is quickly becoming a very large scene of it's own. I had the pleasure of hearing him spin here in toronto this year and he put on a pretty good show. Not #6 in the world good, but definately top 25.
Digweed.
Deserves to be there every year. What this guy does as a DJ is incredible, you go to see digweed, he's the most technically sound mixer in the world, hands down, and the track selection you'll hear are always from his endless stream of promos. Going to hear a set by digweed is like listening to a progressive set from 6 months down the road.
As for the top 5.
Trance. Obviously the most popular genre, so no big surprises there.
The top 100 list is just a popularity contest anyway, and like I said in the TOTA forum, I don't need a list to tell me which DJs I should see.
If we're basing this on DJ sets then I'm pleased that the big man has got the top spot again....he's been over here twice this year, and rocked on both occasions.....
As for the rest, I'm glad that Benassi makes it into the top twenty, he made Godskitchen for me....Nice to see Christopher Lawrence move into the top 10, but based on his TT set not sure how, esp with Marco V moving in the opposite direction when he was electric whilst in town in September.....but it's not so good that there's no local represented, even exile Anthony Pappa's disappeared of the radar screen....
Oh well it's not much more than a glorified magazine survey is it?

What a surprise. My Olympics wins again. Does it count if he takes other peoples tracks? eg. Rah - Pole Position and calls it Tiesto - Olympic Flame. What a discrace to Djs all over the world.
But otherwise. Go Sander, you champ. As far as I'm concerned the real Best 100 Djs starts from about #9.
no Matthew Dekay and Inkfish with Dave Seaman at 57.
